The aim of all this effort is to enable these institutions to keep up with the directions of the UAE’s leadership with respect to the transformation into a smart government.

Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange presented Sahmi Service, an interactive touchscreen display that comes as part of an initiative that is unique in the region. This step represents a phenomenal development in the way financial markets’ services are provided to investors.

The interactive touchscreen display is similar to the website in terms of its content and design. However, the display is more interactive and relies on a straightforward and exciting approach that delivers a new and unique experience for the investors registered at the Exchange and those who wish to register to obtain an Investor Number.

His Excellency Rashid Al Baloushi was also on hand to launch the beta version of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s official website, www.adx.ae. The new portal offers technical services and information to the investors and the Exchange’s

strategic partners alike. In addition to that, it highlights the main features of the institutional identity of the Exchange. “The launch of the website’s beta version comes as an attempt to keep up with the information revolution that is happening now globally as well as using its applications in all fields of life. This shall reinforce the Exchange’s status as one of the pioneers of integrated electronic society for local and international investors,” he said.

Al Baloushi emphasised the importance of the website for the Exchange since it will serve as a main resource for the business community with respect to information and services. He also said that the technical and technological developments that the world witnesses today mean we have to keep up with the change. It is also very important to adopt the best services so as to enhance our

performance and serve as the real representative of the private sector as well as be its main destination Abu Dhabi.

The beta version of this website includes a special window for suppliers through the electronic procurement service through which they can enter their details and information, in addition to obtaining information regarding the Exchange’s tenders and auctions.

During the event, a number of specific services and smartphone applications have been reviewed. These services and applications were launched earlier by the Exchange as part of the GITEX 2015’s events in a new edition that was updated just days before the opening of the Exhibition. The new edition included information that the user can benefit from. It is worth mentioning that the over 10,000 users have been registered in this service so far.

A number of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s officials will be present during GITEX’s days to deliver the needed clarification and explanation regarding the Exchange’s smart services and platforms to the dealers. They will also answer general questions and inquiries raised by GITEX’s visitors through the dedicated workshops that will be organized during the event. This participation helps reinforce Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s smart services.

We have to look at them as humans and develop their talent and skills. This solution is designed to help companies set their strategy, execute it, and reduce the staff turnover and increase retention rates,” says Goweiny.

Over next 12 months, Business DNA, which counts the likes of Cisco, VMware and Sage in its partner roster, plans to strengthen its partnership with Samsung and bring the vendor’s solutions around digital display, surveillance and printing to the market.
