In a decentralised system, the Domestic hot water

heating takes place near the tapping point(s). The cen-

trally generated thermal energy is distributed in the

building as heating circuit water by a pipeline network

consisting of flow and return. Cold tap water is heated

up to the desired temperature by a plate heat exchang-

er in the hydraulic interface unit using the flow-through

principle. The consumption can easily and precisely be

measured by integrated heat and water meters.

In contrast, centralised Domestic hot water heating

has additional pipework for Domestic hot water and

circulation. The heating takes place in a central facility

using the flow-through or tank charging principle.

The advantage of both systems is a very high Domes-

tic hot water convenience. Due to the centralised heat

generation, both concepts are directed at the future.

Maximum availability and high flexibility can be en-

sured by cascaded heat generators.

>> For those striving to combine the sanitary benefits

of a flow-through system with the advantages of stor-

aging, PEWO offers a solution with the tank-charging

pewoAqua L product line. Numerous combinations of

charging powers and tank sizes

are available. Times of elevated

Domestic hot water demand

(consumption peaks) are cov-

ered by the storage tank. An

anti-legionella set-up prevents

sanitary hazards.
