Class Will We, the Upperclassmen of '52, feel that we have obtained adequate wisdom and knowledge
to do all things successfully in the future; and therefore, we think we can spare these few outstanding traits of ours.
I, Ethel Irene Kenyon, will and bequeath the following:
To Eleanor Stoker goes my place in the Pep Club.
To Lewis Schmitt goes my ways with the girls of Haswell High. I know he will do them justice.
To Mary Strait goes my height so she can throw away her high heels.
To Mr. Frazee goes my physics book, which I'm sure he will enjoy reading, as I did.
To Bobby Pfingston I will my athletic ability, even though I didn't use it often.
To Jane French goes my long eyelashes and eyebrows, which he was always admiring.
To Donald Seal goes my long arms, so he can play basketball better.
To Frankie Stoker goes my grades in bookkeeping to bring his down to the level of everyone elses.
To Aubrey Howe goes my journalism class, and I hope that he has to work on the school paper as hard as I did.
To Alan Schmitt goes my small feet in which he is in bad need of.
I, Florence Muriel Stoker, will and bequeath the following:
To Nadine Steele I will my flashy, big, brown eyes and I hope she makes good use of them.
To Wayne Howe goes my ability to work faster in leatherwork so he will be able to finish a billfold in six weeks.
To Shirley Stoker goes my ability to find a huge and beautiful engagement ring before she reaches the spinister age of 18.
To Harold McKnight goes my mellow voice to help soften his.
To Eugene Cussins I will my ability not to make mistakes on worksheets in bookkeeping.
To Harold Stoker I will my small feet so his will be in proportion to his body.
To Mr. Spahr goes my history book and I hope he loses it before he gets a chance to treat anyone else to its contents.
To Naomi Rich I will my short fingernails so she won't be breaking them all the time.
To Bud Nichols I will some of my ambition in journalism so he will be able to work a little in class.
To Leland Stoker I will my steadiness and hope it accomplishes much for him.
To Mrs. Taylor goes our athletic periods in which she overworked us so many times, and if she finds anything else she can use she is welcome to it.

Senior Class Prophecy The little town of Haswell is peacefully calm on this balmy afternoon, but
not for long because in the west comes a red streak. Crash, bang, boom,
screech, a 1951 red pickup pulls up in front of the local feed store. Muriel
Davis, formerly Muriel Stoker, hops out to be followed by several of her child
ren. Muriel runs into the store and tells the manager that she wants a truck
load of chicken feed right away. Her chicken flock has now increased to 10,000
chickens, and chickens are now worth the whole sum of 1 Of apiece.
After the transactions have been made Muriel hops bil ('k in the pickup and
raced home, to feed her chickens, and to milk the cows, but before this is done
she must go to the house and bring her books up to date by her special book
keeping method.
As Muriel enters the house she is greeted by the cackle of hens and steps
on an egg because Hubie Jr. happened to leave the door open and the house is
full of her precious chickens. Muriel grabs the broom and starts shooing the
noisey creatures out of her house.
Muriel being a particular housekeeper hurries to clean house because she
is expecting Hubie home any minute. This task she did in short time, and hav
ing supper waiting she decides to go to the barn and miik the cows. After trying
for an hour or so to get the right cow in the barn she proceeds to milk. Sitting
down on the milk stool she is off to a hurried start, and she's also off in a whirl,
because the old cow just kicked Muriel across the barn. This having vexed her
so, she decides to let Hubie do his own work and goes back to her household work.
Hubie comes home in a few minutes to be met by Muriel at the door. She
tells him off and sends him straight to the, barn to milk that nasty old cow.
Hubie had been in town and had brought the mail home and there was a
letter from Ethel Kenyon, Muriel's old sidekick. In the letter Ethel asked
Muriel to come and spend a few days with her.
The next morning Hubie takes Muriel to the depot where she catches a
train to go visit Ethel.
As she arrives in the big city of Greeley she is met by the one and only,
Ethel and her six children. We stroll toward her big, black, shiny convertible
( 1918 model}. First of all Ethel puts down a rumble seat in the back where
she piles her children, so she can drive with her old sidekick in peace and quiet.
When we are chugging along the busy streets of Greeley towards Ethel's
mansion we are suddenly disturbed when the rumble seat falls and Ethel is
forced to stop the car (which is so hard to start} to pick up her children. It's
a good thing that the car would only tra ve 1 at the rate of 1 0 miles per hour, or
her little ones might have been hurt.
Finally, several hours later, we rattle to a stop in front of her crowded
one room mansion. In it was sitting her husband with his feet upon a footstool
(an old bucket) and smoking his corncob pipe.
After we had eaten a very hardy meal of rice and shrimp, we gathered
around the old wood stove and talked of the good ole' days.
The reason for Ethel's old-fashioned ways is that after she had spent two
years going to college she married this man, who was Professor of Archeology.
