IS STEVIAL® CONSIDEREDTO BE NATURAL?

“In the summer of 2017, the European Union authorised stevia for plant and fruit

infusions. Unlike other countries worldwide, European regulations do not recognise

the natural quality of steviol glycocide extracts. However rebaudioside A, which

is used as a flavouring substance, is recognised as natural. Steviol glycosides should

be seen as natural products as they are unmodified extracts absolutely identical

to the substances found in stevia leaves.”

HOW DO YOU ENSURE QUALITY IN THE PRODUCTION AND EXTRACTION

PROCESS WITHOUT USING CHEMICAL PRODUCTS?

“By inventing new production processes! We have developed one based on

water and alcohol (ethanol). The process is FSSC 22000 certified (for Food

Safety and Quality) and does not require any genetically modified organisms or

biotechnological processes. This enables us to produce steviol glycocides that

come straight from our selected stevia leaves without any transformation.”

“The behaviour of stevia extracts varies according to their food matrix.

Some will bind in a chewing gum matrix (RBA 28), while others are mainly
