Autism Diagnostic Clinic
Easterseals significantly expanded its educational programming when the Learning Academy opened in Germantown Hills in September 2017. The Learning Academy is a K-12 non-public private facility approved by the Illinois State Board of Education and shares the former Germantown Hills Elementary building with two other specialized schools: Black Partridge Public Day School and the Regional Office of Education Safe School. Serving students first grade through high school with significant behavioral issues, the Learning Academy has an enrollment of 28 students from 13 area school districts, and a staff of 20 including teachers, aides, and administration. Seven Easterseals therapists and Board Certified Behavior Analysts provide needed therapeutic services to our students at the Learning Academy.
Easterseals provides specialized therapies to help children communicate, improve their mobility, interact with others and cope with differences.
Easterseals Central Illinois Learning Academy
With a highly structured, positive learning environment, the Learning Academy offers an evidence-based curriculum, tailored to each student’s individualized learning style and unique needs. Its ultimate goal is to prepare students to return to and succeed in their home school districts.
