2016–2017 annual report
reaching forour vision
Foothill Family sees brighter futures in which individuals and families thrive, communities are strengthened, and generations are enriched.
rooted inour mission
Foothill Family empowers children and families to achieve success in relationships,
school, and work through community-based services that advance growth
and development.
Dear Friends,
Our 2016-2017 fiscal year encompassed numerous events and acknowledgments celebrating the milestone of our 90th anniversary. As we celebrate this significant time in our history, it is clear that Foothill Family has evolved and adapted to meet the needs of the community for which — and from which — it was initially established. Grown from a grassroots effort in Pasadena in 1926 to an organization reaching more than 23,800 of the region’s community members, Foothill Family’s 90th anniversary underscores the ongoing crucial need for services addressing behavioral health and child development to meet a multitude of challenges facing individuals, families, and communities.
We are proud of the ways in which the scope of Foothill Family’s daily work has broadened over the decades, today encompassing programs that support multiple stages of human development. Starting with child development from birth to age five and continuing to school-based behavioral health, from youth and family services to mental health care, Foothill will continue its holistic support of individuals and families through dynamic and transformational programs, which often intersect and overlap to provide a continuum of care for its clients.
Foothill Family’s dedicated staff continue to do an outstanding job on the front lines, providing services with the high-quality, personalized, and dignified approach that has long been our hallmark. The commitment of our Board of Directors and volunteer guild, the Friends of Foothill Family, add greatly to our staff ’s efforts and provid the community leadership that is so essential to our success and future growth.
This annual report provides an overview of our performance and achievements during the past fiscal year (July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017). Equally important, it serves as grateful acknowledgement of the growing community of supporters, particularly our high-level and long-standing contributors, who help make our services possible.
Your contributions have made an enormous difference in thousands of lives and helped build stronger, more vibrant communities.
Thank you!
