I am proud of the overall success our student-athletes have achieved – with your help – in recent years, raising the bar competitively across the board. During the 2013-14 academic year, 11 KU teams reached postseason play, the most KU appearances in one year in more than a decade. That success mirrors many outstanding performances by Jayhawk student-athletes during just the past few years.
Highlights include:
• A National Championship for the women’s outdoor track & field team and two individual national champions.
• An NCAA Final Four appearance for men’s basketball.
• Two NCAA Sweet 16 appearances for women’s basketball.
• Three straight NCAA appearances for volleyball, including the 2013 NCAA Sweet 16.
• NCAA appearances for baseball, soccer, softball and women’s golf.
We’ve seen notable progress off the field as well. Most notable is the completion of Rock Chalk Park, which
contains new, state-of-the-art stadiums for KU’s Track & Field, Soccer and Softball programs. Memorial Stadium has received a facelift as well. In summer 2014 the track surrounding the football field was removed, replaced with new artificial turf, bringing the turf to within 10 feet of the stands. In addition, construction is underway on the DeBruce Center, the permanent home of James Naismith’s original “Rules of Basket Ball,” adjacent to historic Allen Fieldhouse.
Major construction is being done throughout campus, including Capitol Federal Hall, Learned Hall Engineering Expansion Phase 2, two new freshman only residence halls (names to be released) as well as Marie S. McCarthy Hall, which is a new apartment complex to be constructed near Allen Fieldhouse. The new apartments will assist in meeting the need for additional on-campus apartments as identified in the KU Campus Master Plan.
Our No. 1 goal with our student-athletes is to represent the University of Kansas on the field of play in an exemplary manner. It goes without saying that we expect the same in the classroom and in their personal lives to the best of their ability.
We are also proud of our student-athletes’ academic achievements this past year. Jayhawk student-athletes tied the KU Graduation Success Rate (GSR) record (85 percent) for the second time in the last three years. Five Kansas teams achieved perfect one-year scores, and two teams posted perfect four-year scores, in the latest NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR) data.
As the landscape of college athletics continues to change, one truly consistent theme is the continued support of our loyal donors. We can’t do this without you. We are forever grateful to you for making Kansas Athletics one of the nationally elite programs on and off the field of play.
Thank you for your continued support.
Rock Chalk,
Sheahon ZengerDirector of Athletics

Approximate Student-Athlete Annual Investment
Without your generosity, many of our student-athletes would be unable to attend KU. You give student-athletes the opportunity to be
champions in the classroom and in the sport they love.
NCAA legislation that goes into effect Aug. 1, 2015, will directly increase the funds needed for student-athlete scholarships.
Student-athlete directly related expenses: $31,200,000
Unrestricted and scholarship contributions: $18,800,000
Every contribution counts. Help us close the gap with your membership.
One student-athlete may receive up to $75,274annually in overall academic and athletic support!

“I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to get a scholarship. I know I’ve worked hard to get here, but it wouldn’t be possible without the Williams Fund. It’s not just athletics that they support, but our academics, as well, since that’s where the future will be for most of us. Plus, by having that scholarship, it serves as a way for us to give back to our parents and families who have supported us our whole lives. It’s just such a blessing to have a scholarship and I’m truly grateful.”
1. Contact the Williams Education Fund by visiting WilliamsFund.com or calling 855-GIVE-WEF.
2. Make a pledge, or committed donation amount, in writing or full payment toward:
Unrestricted: This is the preferred method of giving as it allows the most latitude to fund the areas of greatest need (see student-athlete expenses on page 2).
Scholarships: Toward tuition, fees, room, board and books for our student-athletes.
Increased Giving Incentive: A new/increased unrestricted or new/increased scholarship pledge amount that is above the previous year, which is allocated toward scholarships.
Limestone Society: Directed toward capital facility projects and does not count toward annual giving level.
3. Once a pledge of at least $100 (Outland Level) is recorded, the membership becomes active and donor is eligible for benefits, including tickets.
4. Final payment must be complete by March 1, 2016.
Check, Electronic Fund Transfer or Money Order:Full payment or scheduled deduction(s).
Credit Cards: Full payment or scheduled deduction(s).
Gift of Appreciated Property: Stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real property, etc.
Gift-In-Kind: A good or service pre-approved by the Athletics Director.
Matching Gift: Occasionally offered through employers for athletics-related gifts. Contact KU Endowment for more information.
Deferred Giving: Contact Williams Fund for more information.
Donations are not refundable and accounts with unfulfilled pledges will lose access to all benefits, including tickets, until pledge is completed.
Sport-specific Margin of Excellence gifts are directed toward sport operating expenses and do not provide scholarship support.

IRA Charitable Rollover Gifts: IRC Sec. 408(d)(8), if enacted in calendar year 2015, allows qualified charitable distributions to be made directly from your IRA to qualifying charities, such as Kansas Athletics. Priority points for seating cannot be provided in return for such gifts.
Please contact Andy Morrison, AVP for Gift Planning at KU Endowment, at 785-832-7327 with questions regarding these gifts. We also recommend you consult your tax advisor before making this type of gift.

10Kansas men’s basketball has claimed 10-straight Big 12 Conference regular-season championships.
1,627The number of kills the Kansas volleyball team accumulated during the 2014 season, which led the entire Big 12 Conference.

Priority Point System – Season Ticket Priority
The priority point system is an equitable way to determine priority for season
ticket seating and parking.
• Members receive priority points for various areas of support (see below).
• Priority points accumulate over the account’s history but are only activated for
accounts with a minimum $100 (Outland Level) membership for the current
pledge year.
• Members are ranked in order of their priority point total and are assigned
a “Select-A-Seat” appointment to choose season ticket location out of available
seat inventory (see season ticket pages for future same seat option).

“When I was looking for a place to call home for the next four years, I wanted somewhere near home and with a lot of tradition. I also wanted to play in the Big 12, while being able to grow on and off the court. I didn’t have to look far; I found my new home at KU.”
“There is nothing greater than that bond between the city of Lawrence, the University and its athletic teams. These past three years at KU have showed me how fortunate I am to be a part of something bigger than myself.”
“Before I came to KU, I always heard how great the home-court advantage was in Allen Fieldhouse. Going through the tunnel, in a packed house every game, with the fans and students cheering you on, it’s indescribable. We are very fortunate to wear the Kansas uniform.”

Competing at the highest level in collegiate men’s golf and receiving a terrific education are special to me and have made me and my family proud.”
“Getting my college degree is really important to me and I am very grateful to have a scholarship to Kansas to make that possible. Without a scholarship, I am not sure where I would be. Having a scholarship to pay for my degree means everything to me.”

members may choose to remain anonymous.
University of Kansas student-athletes are
forever grateful for the substantial impact these
