Welcome to Concorde International Summer Schools.
At each of our summer centres, the management teams, teachers and activity leaders work together to provide every student with the best possible experience.
From day one, students are fully occupied by the stimulating combination of the academic, social and cultural programmes, and certainly have no time to get bored! Whether performing a sketch to the rest of the school, learning about the cultural history of the local area, chatting and relaxing over lunch, or discovering the sights of London, students have every opportunity to mix with friends from other countries, practise their English and have fun together.

We take great care to ensure that the students who come to our summer schools have an enjoyable time and are well looked after in a safe environment.
Welfare and accommodation
Our staff are trained to provide the best welfare possible. Concorde operates its own child protection policy, a copy of which is available on request. Our residential summer centres are in the secure environment of premier English boarding schools and universities. In schools where we have homestay students, there is a local Homestay Organiser who provides 24-hour assistance.
Homestay
Living with a local host provides students with a great opportunity to improve their English and experience the British way of life. Families are selected carefully in accordance with British Council procedures, are inspected regularly, and are chosen for their warm hospitality and friendliness. Unless otherwise requested, students share a room with another Concorde student of a different nationality. Hosts provide breakfast and dinner at home, and a packed lunch; they also provide bed linen and towels. Many homes are within walking distance of school, but in some cases students will need to catch a bus.
Residential
We offer a wide range of comfortable bedrooms with 1-4 beds, and some larger rooms. Our summer centres offer different types of accommodation, from traditional boarding schools with larger rooms to modern university halls of residence. University residences are ideal for those who prefer single study bedrooms, some with en-suite bathrooms. Bed linen is provided and there are laundry facilities on site; students bring their own towels; shared bathrooms are serviced daily. All meals are provided - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Concorde staff provide 24-hour care and supervision.

“Interesting, dynamic, funny – the
students have learnt a lot and
worked hard!”
Group Leader, from Spain
There’s no doubt that being immersed in an English-speaking environment boosts students’ confidence, enhances their language skills and provides them with the motivation to continue studying the English language.
Design your own programme
In addition to the summer programme, we welcome school groups to Canterbury Study Centre throughout the academic year.
With the year-round study courses we offer a truly personalised, tailor-made service. With our assistance you can design your programme to suit your requirements and help your students make the most of their new and exciting learning experience.
Courses can be designed to complement your school curriculum. We offer exam preparation courses and a variety of stimulating academic programmes on themes such as British culture, the environment and tourism. In addition to the EFL classes, a programme of activities, visits and excursions can be included to give your students the best possible experience during their stay. Courses can be for a few days or up to six weeks.

Disneyland Paris In association with GTS Tours, we offer a three-day excursion to Paris that includes travel, hotel accommodation and entry to Disneyland. You will have a full day in Paris, so there is plenty of time for sightseeing and shopping.
You will need to book this excursion in advance, so please contact us for more information. Please also note that you and your students will each need a passport or visa that allows you to visit France.
Available all year for groups and in July and August for students from Canterbury, Folkestone, Ashford, Broadstairs and London summer schools.
The ‘buddy’ will not usually be a member of a student’s host family, but will be specially selected by the school staff from among a group of motivated pupils who have chosen to be part of the Buddy Programme. Students and buddies are paired (one-to-one) for the duration of the programme, often resulting in friendships that last well beyond the flight home.
Each buddy school has a liaison officer who will assist the accompanying Group Leader during the programme, and a Concorde International member of staff will be available at all times.
You can choose between two types of Buddy Programme. In a ‘Buddy Only’ programme, students spend the whole school day with their British buddies. Or, in a ‘Buddy Plus’ programme, students spend the mornings in EFL classes - at the school, but with Concorde International teachers - and then the rest of the school day, from lunchtime onwards, with their buddies. Both programmes can incorporate cultural activities and excursions led by Concorde International staff, in addition to the time spent at the school. The choice is yours!
Our unique Buddy Programme offers your students a fantastic opportunity to experience life in a British state school, attending regular classes such as Science, History or Maths alongside a ‘buddy’ with whom they share the school day: classes, lunch and break times, sports afternoons, and any extra-curricular activities.
