Christmas Trees are put in retail outlets across the city, including our own lobby for people to take an ornament off the tree, purchase the item on the ornament and return the ornament and gift to the WISH TREE location where it will be picked up and delivered to the rest home or orphanage of the wish on the ornament. Santa’s official assistant, Jim Scott along with his elves Scott Sloan, Bill Cunningham, Seg, Tracy Jones, Chuck Ingram and the rest of the 700WLW Staff of Elves will help promote this charity every year, encouraging our community to go to the local retail establishments to pick up a WISH TREE Ornament to make a difference in someone’s life over the Holidays. Chuck Ingram hosts the Annual lighting of the Christmas Tree in Mt. Washington on the Friday after Thanksgiving, which is the event to kick off the WISH TREE charity promotion.
