Principal Newsletter December 2015 Dear Mustang Families, All of a sudden, it’s December. How did this happen? December can be a busy time for families. With all the busyness that is associated with this time of year, please take some time for your families to relax and recharge, even if they are small moments here and there. My wish for you is that every family's cup may overflow with rich and eternal blessings and that your family is able to connect with each other and recharge. Please take care of yourself during this busy time of year! Coats for Kids Brrrrrrr..... Winter is coming! The annual Coats for Kids drive has begun again, and we will be collecting until the end of January 2016! Please donate new and gently used coats (sizes 116), hats & gloves, to be distributed to the children in the White Salmon and Trout Lake Schools and Social Services. The collection box is in the front foyer at Trout Lake School, or contact Karen Smith at school (5093952571) for pickup. If you would like to make a taxdeductible cash donation instead, please make checks out to WGAP and in the memo line write "Coats for Kids". Thank you!

Please donate new and gently used coats (sizes 116),                               hats & gloves, to be distributed to the children in the White Salmon and Trout Lake Schools and                                   Social Services. benches, decking, etc. The students met with Rep. Gina McCabe who is working to                           introduce their bill into the Washington Legislature.

IHA IKE 13196 will advance to the state level of competition. Congratulations and good luck at                               state!   Gossip Please join us for our school theatre performance of “Gossip” on Friday, December 11th at 7:00 PM in the gym.  Gossip is a one act play in which a  group of high school theatre students befriend a charming yet sinister new student named Gossip.  She immediately makes herself right at home as she secretly manipulates and twists the truth to get what she wants.  But as her new friends begin to figure it all out, they turn on her as ruthlessly as she went after them, leading to a surprisingly twisted ending. Please come and support our thespians.   Principal Coffee Hour You are invited to come have an informal chat with Principal Crystal Lanz. It is a great                                 opportunity to ask your questions and hear what is happening at the school. A pot of coffee and                                   pastries will be provided. Please bring any topics you’d like to discuss. No RSVP is needed and                                 all are welcome! Our third Principal Coffee Hour will take place on Friday, December 11th at 9                                 a.m. in the MPR. I hope to see you there!  Notes Any change in the normal routine for your child must be done through the office before noon.  If your child, for whatever reason, will not be following their regularly established routine, please notify the school by sending a note or calling to provide us with the appropriate information. Additionally, if your child has a “permanent note” in the office, we need to know of any changes to this routine to ensure that your child is where they are supposed to be.   Community Feast Thank you to everyone that was able to attend our Community Feast and bring dishes to share. It was a wonderful gathering of our community and a great performance by our elementary students.  We still have a few plates, casserole dishes, and utensils left from the Community Feast.  Please stop by the office if you are missing your kitchen wares and we will help to reconnect you with them.    Holiday Extravaganza We are looking for holiday cards to be used for our Holiday Extravaganza projects.  If you have any holiday cards that you would like to donate, please drop them by the office.    Winter Concert Please join us for our Winter Concert on Tuesday, December 15th at 6:30 PM.  Come enjoy the music stylings of our talented students.
