Welcome back to school for Term 3. I hopeeveryone had a restful and enjoyable break. It is wonderful to see most of our students back atschool participating in class activities and socialisingwith their friends! All schools have returned to full-time on-campus learning.

We also lookedat the use of assessment data to inform ourteaching practice and wellbeing. All of our sessionswere via Zoom, with staff in various classrooms

throughout the school – following physicaldistancing guidelines.

Works around the school: Throughout the holidays,our school was a hive of activity. The old tile roofshave been replaced with green colorbond. Theeaves and gutters have also been replaced. Our Hallhas a floor that now sparkles, due to sanding andre-polishing. We have also had some of our treespruned and trimmed.

NAIDOC Week: Traditionally, NAIDOC day iscelebrated during July, however, due to COVID-19,NAIDOC Day has been moved to November. Detailsto come later in the year.

Reports: Students should have delivered theirsemester 1 reports to parents yesterday. If studentswere absent, the reports will be posted out. If youwish to discuss your child’s progress with theirteacher, please contact the school to arrange aphone meeting.

100 Days: Kindergarten students celebrated 100days of learning on Tuesday. They had a party withcake and treats, made necklaces with 100 beads,and did math activities based on 100, then tookhome a balloon at the end of the day. Check out thephotos in this newsletter.

Wonderful Wednesday: Our Year 1 to 6 studentsare participating in Wonderful Wednesday activitiesagain this term. The idea behind this initiative is tobuild positive relationships between the studentsand staff – with everyone participating inan activity that is of interest to them. Our activitiesthis term include cooking, threading, STEM, Lego,board games, rock and water and gardening. Seethe photos in this newsletter.

I am looking forward to a great term with studentsand staff.

STUDENT AWARDSThis week five students were presented withcertificates. Jordyn, Janice and Rahni all receivedtheir bronze certificate. Toby received his silvercertificate and Charlie received his gold certificateas well as the letter U for his badge. Well done!

Tell us something we don't know about you:I studied Performing Arts before I became ateacher.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of yourlife, what would it be?Vegetarian lasagne.

What's your favourite TV show?I love watching ABC period dramas.

Which superpower would you like and why?I would love to fly. It would make it much easier toget to work from Wodonga at the moment!

Where in the world would you most like to travel?Everywhere and anywhere! I am particularly curiousabout Ireland as it is where my Great Grandparentsare from.

Our new online lunch ordering system will beready to go on Wednesday 5 August!

To register go to www.quickcliq.com.au tomake your account. All inquiries should bedirected to Quickcliq by either phoning 1300 116 637 or [email protected].

Orders can be placed the night before to savetime in the morning. The cut off time for allorders is 8:50am.

Due to the current circumstances, if parentscome in to the school ground/to the canteenthey will need to report to the office to sign in.Therefore we ask to please either order onlineor send your child to the canteen with theirorder and money in an envelope or bag.

Please see the updated menu in thisnewsletter.

The canteen will be trialling counter salesduring the afternoon break on Fridays only.This will start on Friday 7 August 2020.

Prices will range from 50c to $1.50 with drinksat regular prices.
