Garbage Segregation

• 1975: Barangay Highway Hills (Mandaluyong)

Solid Waste Management Law

• The creation of the National Commission on Solid Waste Management

• The creation of a solid waste council in all the cities and municipalities

• The mandatory segregation of garbage at the source and the mandatory collection by local units• The phase-out of unrecyclable packaging such as polystyrene, doy pack and tetrapack
