The car park will be locked shortly after 5.30pm.

Castle: 11.30am to 4.30pm (last admission 4.00pm, please allow one hour).

Some attractions may be temporarily closed on occasion due to Covid-19

restrictions. Please see signage in place.

Refreshments

The Castle Tea Room serves a delicious range of home-made snacks, light

lunches and traditional afternoon teas, using seasonal and locally-sourced

produce. The Castle Tea Room has indoor and outdoor seating, with tea,

coffee and soft drinks available for takeaway. The Ice Cream Parlour serves

traditional cones and flavoured ice-creams, including Doggy Ice Cream.

Drinking water is available from a tap on the Valley Lawn.

Picnics

You are welcome to picnic in the grounds and you will find picnic tables on

the Valley Lawn and in a grassed area close to the entrance/exit. Please note

that the tables in the Tea Room Courtyard are reserved for customers who

have purchased food and drink.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times other than in the Dogs Off Leads

Area. There are 2 Dog Waste Bins in the grounds, please see the map

overleaf. There is a Dog Wash in the car park should you wish to wash your

muddy dog before leaving.

Litter

Please follow the Country Code and take your litter home with you or leave it

in one of the bins provided.

House Guides and Guide Book

You will find helpful guides in most of the castle rooms and there are also

laminated room notes in every room to help you make the most of your visit.

Guide books are available from the Visitor Entrance and Castle Entrance.

For your Safety

Eastnor Castle is of significant age, therefore please take care when using

the steps around the castle as many are worn and can become slippery in

wet weather. The battlements of the castle, although worth visiting, are not

suitable for children under 16 unless they are accompanied by a parent or

guardian. All children using the play areas must be accompanied by a

parent or guardian. Please take care when visiting our lake as it is very deep

in places and the banks are quite steep. The lake is not suitable for

swimming in.

Facilities for Disabled Visitors

Certain areas of the grounds are not accessible. Accessible parking is

normally in the gravel courtyard in front of the castle, but on bank holidays,

this is not always possible due to large events taking place. Most of the

interiors of the castle are accessible with access to the ground floor via 14

steps. There is a stair climber for anyone unable to climb these steps and

also a passenger lift to access the first floor of the house. Please note these

lifts may be out of operation at times due to Covid-19 restrictions. We have

a video presentation of the first floor rooms playing downstairs. The

grounds are quite hilly, and although access to the terraces, overlooking the

lake is possible, it is not possible to access the arboretum and lakeside with

a wheelchair. The Castle Tea Room is accessible by wheelchair.

Pushchairs, Large Bags & Rucksacks

In the interest of personal safety and for the protection of the building, it is

requested that pushchairs, large bags and rucksacks are left with our staff at

the castle entrance. Front baby carriers are permitted. Most of the paths

around the grounds are gravel or stone. Pushchairs can be taken on the

lakeside walk and within certain areas of the arboretum.

Covid-19 (Coronavirus)

In the interests of safety for our visitors and staff, please read and adhere to the following guidelines at all times:

• If you, or anyone in your party, are currently displaying symptoms of Coronavirus, please all leave straight

away and refer to the current Government guidelines on Covid-19.

• Please wash or sanitise your hands as often as possible. Sanitiser stations are situated around the grounds.

• When advised to do so within current Government guidelines, please follow social distancing rules,

particularly in areas which are busier than others. Signage is in place to help with this.
