1: Adopt 21st century teaching approaches to develop students’ interest for English poetry

I will facilitate students by paraphrasing to understand and learn English poetry in an enjoyable way.

I will make students’ pairs / groups to evaluate and explore the symbolic meaning of English poetry by giving directions and pointing some real life examples.

I will observe and monitor that what they are up to and what kind of difficulties they are facing

Mean while I will put up some questions from the work they have done.

The technique of intervention will help me to grip the situation and will make students do their best.

Instructions based on the theme of the topic providing relevant information for deeper involvement and creative thinking.

Change in questioning strategies to promote critical and creative thinking among students.

Making questions from the answers given by the students.

Encourage students to share their view points instead of praising.

Students will be provided ample time to think more as there is always a room to improve.

Let students avail sufficient time for pair / group discussions.

By implementing my newly acquired 21st century Teaching Approaches, students will Strengthen their understanding of English poetry in general and the theme of the poem in particular, which will help them in the process of creative thinking and will lead them to spend honest & straight forward life.
