Filter algorithms:

•Average Filter length: 2-1000 (Filter length = 1 => No filter).Data output rate is reduced proportional to theFilter length.

• Moving Average Filter length: 2-1000 (Filter length = 1 => No filter).Data output rate is NOT reduced by the Filter

length.

• Median Sorting the content of the data buffer. Normally uses the middle value of the buffer as

output.Can also be used as a min/max filter. Eliminates spikes in the data.

Control of data input to the filter:

- Continuous Fixed filter length (settable between 1-1000).

- Trig The filter length is controlled by the leading(positive) flanks of the trigger input.

- Gate The filter length is controlled by the leadingand trailing flanks of one trig pulse.

- Self trig The Filter length is controlled by the internalerror messages in the sensor (Valid data/”NO OBJECT”) i.e. the measurement target controls the filter length. (e.g. in thickness measurement applications of a board).
