The distance between correction bar and image can also be set, ranging from 1 to 10.

Max. Filling Area is the default value of the program, refers to the maximum display area. If the

user wants to customize display area, simply cancel the default value and input the distance in

minimum vertical and horizontal distances, ranging 0~100.

Image vertical location alteration refers when importing picture into program, the photo is

displayed vertically. When browsing picture in index or group modes, image can not be vertically

displayed. You may rotate the picture either 90º clockwise or 90º counter clockwise for display.

Interpolation Arithmetic is an arithmetic method for program to change pixel amount and the

size of a photo. Either neighboring or quadric-cubic value can be selected.

“Neighboring” (with rough edge) is high in speed but low in resolution. This method is

recommended to be used for the demonstration figure having rough edge, in order to save the hard

edge and generate small file. However this method will likely generate rough effect, such effect will

become obvious when zoom in or out of an image or when multiple operation is executed in an area.

“Quadric Cubic” (smooth) is low in speed but high in resolution, which can achieve the most

smooth hue layers.

Computer Virus and Defense

Along with the popularization of computers and the rapid development of internet, the

concomitant computer viruses are making headache for their users. In order to help user having

better knowledge about computer virus, we make a detailed introduction about its dangers and the

know-how of computer protection.

Computer virus is a special program edited by human being, which can disorder, alter and

demolish the computer software and duplicate and infect other programs. Computer will execute as

per these error commands and then damage user’s data.

Computer virus is infectious, which is very harmful, usually such infections are achieved

through computer hard drive, floppy, CD, removable storage device and internet.

The main dangers of computer virus include: abnormal monitor displaying, destroying saved

data, changing contents saved in discs, disturbing normal work, slowing down of computer

processing speed, furthermore causing computer death, eventually disabling the computer.

Major behavior and damages of computer virus:

1.Directly destroy computer data excited by virus

Most viruses will directly destroy important computer data when excited, such as formatting

disc, altering registry form and content, deleting important files or replacing file with rubbish data,

and destroying CMOS settings.

2.Occupy disc space and destroy data

Virus parasitizing disc will occupy disc space.

The boot virus will occupy the booting sector, meanwhile transfer the original booting sector

into different sector, in other words, the boot virus will cover a disc sector. The data in this covered

sector will be lost permanently and could not be recovered.

File virus will infect through DOS functions, which can detect the available space of disc, write

the infected part onto the blank part of disc. Therefore it will not destroy the original data during

infection but will illegally occupy disc space. Some file virus can infect lots of files in a very short

period of time. Every infected file will be bigger than before in different extent, which will make

severe waste of disc space.

3.Possess system resources

Most viruses permanently stay in memory dynamically, which will possess part of system

resources. The memory length possessed by virus is basically the same as that of the virus itself.

Virus takes over memory, decreases the availability of memory and furthermore some software is

disabled. Besides, virus will also occupy ISR, disturbing the process of system. Many functions of

Page 116: 0810 Operation Manual250708

DL-0810 Digital Minilab Operation Manual

110 Shanghai Doli Photographic Equipment Co., Ltd

computer OS are achieved through User Break technology. In order to transfer excitation, virus will

often amend some correlated relay address then disturb the process of system.

4.Affecting computer speed

Not only disturbing the system process, the virus will affect the speed of computer.

Main Characteristics: In order to judge the conditions of infection excitation, the virus will

monitor the work status of computer. Act as self-protection, static virus on disc is encrypted; the

dynamic ones in memory are also encrypted. Every time when CPU addresses the location of virus,

it will run a program to decrypt the encrypted virus into legal CPU command and execute. And the

virus will be encrypted again. This constant battle will cost CPU tremendous waste on its resources.

5.Affecting compatibility of virus on system

Compatibility is an important index of computer software. Software with good compatibility

can be run under different circumstances of various computers; on the contrary the software with

poor compatibility is nit-picking on the running condition, such as computer model or version of OS.

The creator of virus usually will not test the virus in various situations; therefore the compatibility of

virus is poor, which often results in computer death.

How to defend virus attack:

If DL-0810 digital minilab is infected with virus, the efficiency of the machine is going to be

debasing, even important data saved in disc will be destroyed, and resulting in system collapse and

the user will suffer subsequently.

We recommend that the user take precaution at all time:

1. Strictly prohibit installing pirated software in the system. All operation system and the other

software installed in the machine are legally registered.

2. Anti-virus software must be activated when the machine is running, enabling surveillance of the

system.

3. “Prevent illness at the mouth”, carefully check all media brought by customers with virus killing

software.

4. Periodically update the anti-virus software.
