Dear Parents,
Each year, the St. Genevieve School Parent School Association (PSA) raises money to provide learning and recreation-
al activities for the students. This school year we are hoping to provide SmartBoards for our Kindergarten class, 1st
grade class, and 2nd grade class.
We will be holding our 2nd Annual Silent Auction which will take place on November 21, 2014, along with $1,500
and $500 raffle ticket drawing and Dinner. The success of our Auction is due to the generosity of many businesses, our
faculty and our amazing parents.
Here are some details about the event:
Seating is limited!
Silent Auction/Dinner Ticket (over 21 adults only) sales have begun:
One ticket for $15
Two tickets for $25
We are asking for your support with a donation, gift card, a gift certificate, tickets to events, vacation rentals,
sports memorabilia, tools, equipment, etc. or any new item that can be offered on its own or combined
with other items to create a beautiful basket/gift package. All donations are
tax deductible and a receipt will be delivered when your donation is
delivered. We would ask that your gracious donation be made by
October 31, 2014, if possible.
Each class will be coming up with a theme for a class donation basket/item.
More information will be coming from your child’s homeroom teacher.
Wishing you abundant blessings and with appreciation,
Yours Sincerely,
Erin E. O’Brien, Esq.

8th Grade News! 8th Grade is Thinking Forward! The 8th graders are certainly having a good time so far this
year! They’re learning everything from parts of speech and reading adventure stories, to
learning about the Church and specific saints! They’ve even written a couple essays!
Aside from school work, the 8th graders have had a busy couple weeks! They re-
cently received a visit from Detroit Catholic Central, as well as visited Divine Child High
School! They were introduced to what Detroit Catholic Central has to offer at their school
by viewing a PowerPoint presented by one of Detroit CC’s staff members. Later in the
week, the student’s visited Divine Child High School for their Discovery Day! Students
were given a presentation on what Divine Child has to offer from all the sports to numer-
ous clubs! They also were able to see what a typical day at Divine Child is like by being
given a schedule and sitting in on a few classes!
Students will continue to be busy in the classroom as they keep up with their work
and plan ahead for their futures!
