Invitation to Join the Sacred Heart League
June 28, 2019 We will celebrate the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday, June 28th. Holy Mass in Spanish will be at 6:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served in the conference room following
Mass. We invite anyone who is interested in becoming a member of the League of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to attend, as new mem-bers will be received into the League on that day. The Sacred Heart League is a group of men and women devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus-a devotion that focuses attention on the physical Heart as the symbol of His redemptive love. As revealed by Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, “...the Feast of His Sacred Heart should be established and propagated in the Church. In this way, devout believers would, by their adoration and prayer, make reparation for the injuries His Heart constantly receives from ungrateful humani-ty when He is exposed in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar (wwwSacredHeartLegion.com). At St. Genevieve, the Sacred Heart League meets on the First Friday of each month for Holy Hour at 5:30 pm and Holy Mass in Spanish at 6pm.

28 de Junio Celebraremos La Fiesta del Corazón mas Sagrado de Jesús el viernes 28 de Junio. La Santa Misa en Español será a las 6 pm. Refrescos se serviran en la sala de conferencias despues de La Misa. Invitamos a cualquier persona que esta interesada en ser miembro de la Liga ese dia. El Sagrado Corazón de Jesús es una devoción que concentra la atención en el corazón fisico, simbolo de su amor redentor según lo revelado para Santa Margarita Maria, la Fiesta de Sagrado Corazón debe establecerse y propagarse en la Iglesia. De esta manera, los creyentes devotos por su adoracion y oracion repararán las heridas que su corazón recibe constante-mente de la humanidad cuando el esta expuesto en el Santísimo Sacramento del altar (www.SacredHeartLegion.com). En Santa Genoveva, La Liga del Sagrado Corazón se reúnen el primer viernes de cada mes para hacer oración y participar en la Santa Misa a las 6 p.m.
Frozen Lasagna Tray Fundraiser Sister Gemma and Sister Delnise will be selling lasagna tickets after Masses this weekend. Each ticket, corresponding to a frozen lasagna tray, costs $40 and feeds 6-8 people. Everything is made by Sister Gemma from scratch. This fundraising project is to ben-efit Las Cruces Catholic School where the sisters have worked since 2014. The lasagna trays can be picked up at the convent (305 Phillips Dr.). Natural Family Planning Introductory Presentation June 26, 2019
A Natural Family Planning Introductory Presentation is scheduled at St. Genevieve on Wednesday, June 26 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm in the conference room. This presentation is designed to help every-one learn more about God’s beautiful design for human love and fertility. Fr. Theo Okafor will present Catholic Church teaching on NFP. Instructors will introduce different methods of NFP and give a short presentation on The Billings Method. There will also be a talk on contraception. NFP could change your life and your mar-riage as well as your relationship with God. Call Robin Contreras at 575-644-0962 [email protected] for more information. All couples preparing for marriage through St. Genevieve are required to attend one introductory presentation.
PRIZES NEEDED FOR OUR FIESTA Donations of gently used or new toys, games, etc., are need-ed for the kids prize booth for the 2019 St. Genevieve Fiesta. They may be dropped off at the parish office or you may call Cecilia Flores, 575-496-6526 for pick up. Thank you for your generosity.
