1. INTRODUCTION
This document describes the technical release of OmniPCX Enterprise Release 10.1 with the version
J2.501.11.B
Release 10.1 (version J2.501.11.B) is a minor release.
Note
In term of corrections, patch J2.501.11.B is at the same level than H1.301.50.C / I1.605.33 /
J1.410.40.C
Additional corrections of major RAs have been integrated selectively.
In term of Database translation, patch J2.501.11.B allows translations up to I1.605.38 and
J1.410.46.
The programs of certification are available on Business Portal.
You should need to make sure that all versions of existing applications are compatible with Release
10.1. refer to chapters 5, 6, and 7 of the technical communication TC1645 Installation procedure
for version J2.501.11.B – Release 10.1.
2. NEW HARDWARE AND FEATURES FROM RELEASE 10.1
2.1 Overview
This version works with the Linux 76.2 operating system and supports the Crystal hardware and
common hardware platforms (common hardware with OmniPCX Office).
It enables the Call Server to work with the CPU6 Step2 128 MB, CPU7 256 MB, CPU7-2 256 MB of
crystal hardware, CS CPU, CS-2 CPU, IBM Appliance Server (X306, X306M, X3250, X3250 M2 and
X3250 M3) and Hewlett Packard Appliance Server (Proliant DL320 G5, Proliant DL320 G5p,
Proliant DL320 G6 and Proliant DL120 G7).
It also allows the Call Server to work with IBM Lames integrated in a Blade Center.
It allows hardware to be combined (common hardware and crystal hardware): since Release 5.1, the
migration of OmniPCX 4400 to OmniPCX Enterprise is supported, but some applications and
hardware are no longer supported (therefore in the case of migration from 4400 to R10.1, refer to
chapters 5, 6 and 7 of the technical communication TC1645 Installation procedure for version
J2.501.11.B - Release 10.1.

2.5 Features under PCS
If one of the following features has to be implemented on an OmniPCX Enterprise, contact Technical
Support for the deployment:
SIP TLS/sRTP for external SIP Gateway since Release 10.0
PCS = Premium Customer Support. The Premium Customer Support process allows the Partner
Businesses to profit an assistance on features or products whose marketing was announced (DR3)
but which are not launched yet on the market. The PCS process replaces the SDP (Specific Deal
Process) previous process; refer to the eFlash EF_Marketing_003_260704.
2.6 Features availability in progress
SIP trunking.
Interoperability tests with new carriers done under the control of the SIP Bid Desk.
The following features are in validation progress and will be available in an upcoming OmniPCX
Enterprise patch:
