Issuance of Airline Transport Pilot’s License –Aeroplane/Helicopter (ATPL-A/H)
Training Objectives
• Identify the pre-requisites for availing Issuance of Airline Transport Pilot’s License (ATPL).
• Understand the process for availing Issuance of Airline Transport Pilot’s License (ATPL).
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
For ATPL issuance request, following pre-requisites are essential to successfully process the request and issue the license:
• Applicant must have valid CPL License with ME, IR for availing Issuance of ATPL (except for Defense Personnel applying directly).
• Passing of requisite examinations conducted by CEO for Issuance of ATPL.
• Requisite flying experience for availing the service and duly filled in e-

Pre-requisites for Applying Issuance of ATPL

The Flow Chart
Step 4
User submits the form and system will redirect to Bharatkosh portal for fees payment.
Step 1
The User visits the eGCA portal and logs-in using EGCA ID and password.
Step 2
User selects the Issuance of Airline Transport Pilot’s License.
Step 5
The generated payment receipt is visible to the user on the portal post payment and through Track Status/ License Request list option, applicant can track the application status on the Portal.
Step 3
User validates the details populated in the form, If find any discrepancies, avails Update request option or Update Personal particulars Service through DMS where applicable

User shall logs-in to the portal through their eGCA Id.

User selects the “Issuance of ATPL ” under “Services” Section from Left side panel.

Prior to Apply for Issuance of Airline Transport Pilot’s License (ATPL), User reads and understands the Instruction page, User Manual

User verifies their Basic details, CEO Examination Details, Medical Examination Details and License Details then fills the form of Issuance of ATPL

In Case of any Result Pending, User Selects the ‘”Result Pending” and enter the details and proceed

Step 1
In case of any Discrepancies in Basic and Medical Examination details, User shall use the update license details option and submit for validation by DGCA. For Updating Personal particulars (Name and DOB) user shall avail update Personal Particulars option through DMS.

In case of any discrepancies in their Basic details, Examination Details, Medical Examination Details and License Details., Applicant is to use the update license details option and submit for validation by DGCA.
Procedure for Update SPL details.
• In case of applicants already registered and desirous of uploading/adding their SPL details only (already issued) then they are to avail the “Upload SPL details” node and not “license update” node. “License update” node is to be utilised in case of erroneous entries undertaken while updating the SPL details which is subject to validation by DGCA.

User verifies their Basic details, Examination Details, Medical Examination Details and License Details then fills the form of Issuance of ATPL

Once User validates all their Details, User proceed for applying “Issuance of ATPL” and selects Category of Aircraft and 'Aircraft Rating' in 'Rating' field and select the aircraft type on which License is requested i.e. Aircraft on which tests undertaken and the same need to be added in the list by Clicking on ADD button.

For Endorsement of additional Aircraft or transposing of Aircraft from CPL to ATPL and Open Rating, User selects 'Extension of Rating' and 'Open Rating' in 'Rating' field separately and the same need to be added in the list by Clicking on ADD button.

The Status of each Flying experience for Aeroplane parameter in 'Flying experience' table shall be 'Qualified' for applied services after selection for 'Category of Aircraft' in 'Service Details‘ Except for Parameters 7 and 8 which will be indicated blank / Zero and will be validated by DGCA based on flying experience provided in e-log book.

Similarly, The Status of each Flying experience for Helicopter parameter in 'Flying experience' table shall be 'Qualified' for applied services after selection for 'Category of Aircraft' in 'Service Details‘ Except for Parameters 7 and 8 which will be indicated blank / Zero and will be validated by DGCA based on flying experience provided in e-log book.
User may request for FRTOL along with ATPL by selecting Yes .'RTR Details' are to be mandatorily filled.
Flying Training Progress Report is optional and required only for Defence personnel having undertaken flying at Indian FTOs for Issuance of ATPL.

After Submission the application form, the application will re-directed to Bharatkosh payment gateway and after payment is successful, the generated Payment receipt will visible to Portal.
Bharatkosh Payment Gateway
• After submission of the application form online, applicant will be redirected to payment gateway (Bharatkosh) where he / she has to pay the fees amount for the service requested.
• The candidate shall make the payment by using All Indian Credit Cards/ Debit Cards (Except Diners Club Card) /Internet Banking of banks through the any Payment Gateways available within 48 hours of the submission.
• The payment via American Express Credit Card (AMEX) can be made through SBI e-pay payment gateway.
• Please note that your application process is complete only on successful transaction of fee payment and receipt of the same on portal. Further, the candidate will get a notification on his / her Mobile and Email of receipt number after successful submission of application and payment. The date of submission to DGCA shall be the date on which the above entire process is completed and received by DGCA.
List of original documents required to be sent to DGCA for ATPL (A)
1. Log Book(s) 2. Covering letter from operators/sponsoring authority 3. Others license issued by DGCA (e.g. CPL, FRTOL,SPL etc.) 4. RTR issued by WPC, Ministry of Telecommunication. Defense Personnel (In addition to above) 1. Skill test and IR check report 2. CA39 duly certified by the competent authority for total flying period 3. CA39 duly certified by competent authority for preceding six months 4. FTPR (Where applicable) 5. Flight safety clearance certificate from competent authority
