Day 8: May 1, 2020—Prayer for Muslim Refugees and Asylum Seekers

1. Pray for millions of Muslim refugees, some of them in deplorable conditions and exposed to the danger of getting infected by the SARS-CoV-2 virus which causes the disease COVID-19. Pray that God may protect them from the pandemic and harsh weather conditions. Pray that they may experience the love of God in their difficulties.

2. Pray for Muslim refugees who have accepted Jesus as their Lord, that God may protect and grant them His favour. Pray that the Holy Spirit can use them to reach out to their family members with the gospel message.

3. Pray for church leaders and members in territories with Muslim refugees from Middle East region. These include the Trans-European Division (TED), Inter-America Division (IAD), Inter-European Division (EUD), North American Division (NAD), South American Division (SAD), that they may share the love of Christ through acts of kindness during this month of Ramadan. Pray that God will grant opportunities for mission among them.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Day 9: May 2, 2020—Prayer for Afghanistan

1. Pray for the 54 (fifty-four) Muslim People Groups in Afghanistan. Pray that God will bring political stability in the country and soften the hearts of the religious and political leaders.

2. Pray for the 1,8281 people infected by the coronavirus. Pray that God may send a miraculous healing so that His glory may be manifested to the sick and the affected family members. Pray that this pandemic will cause them to seek for healing from Isa al Masih (Jesus Christ).

3. Thank God for the 2282 recovered cases in Afghanistan. Pray that God may grant strength those who have recovered from the coronavirus. Pray that their recovery may be a testimony to praise God and seek for His mercies genuinely.

Day 10: May 3, 2020--Prayer for AMR Leaders and Practitioners3

1. Pray for the GCAMR and AMR Division leaders that God may give them wisdom to provide leadership in the ministry at this time of pandemic.

2. Pray for the AMR practitioners, some of them live in foreign countries as missionaries. Pray that God may maintain their Muslim contacts. Pray that God may inspire them in innovative ways in ministering among their contacts who have accepted Jesus Christ.

3. Pray for Union and Conference/Field/Mission AMR Directors. Remember their families and the many projects they are coordinating. That God may give them wisdom on how to lead their local territories at this period of lockdown, and in most countries where believers worship from home.

1 TIMOTHY 2:1-4 NKJV

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Day 11: May 4, 2020—Prayer for Urban Centres of Influence in Muslim territories.

1. Pray that God may sustain the centres from the losses that they may be incurring during this period of COVID-19. Pray that the centres may grow their relevance to the communities during this time and in the post-COVID-19 period so that they can attract as many people as possible.

2. Pray for the centres which are still in operation. Pray for the personnel who are sacrificing their lives as they render service to the community. Pray for their protection and that God may reveal His Love to the community through them.

3. Pray for all community members who have been touched by the love of God through the services being rendered at the various Urban Centres of Influence (UCI). Pray that God may nurture their desire to know more about Him and truth.

LUKE 19:41-42 NKJV

Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

Day 12: May 5, 2020—Prayer for Adventist Women Ministries Department4

1. Pray for the continued efforts of the GC Women Ministries leadership in mobilizing their members across the world and specifically in Muslim territories. Pray the Adventist women may realise the need and the potential of ministering to their Muslim women friends and neighbours in their communities.

2. Pray that members in the Women Ministries Department in territories with Muslim populations may see the need to be equipped for effective ministry among their Muslim women friends and neighbours. Pray that God will enhance the potential of the AMR ministry at Division, Union, and Conference levels in working with the Women Ministries for the purposes of equipping Adventist women.

3. Pray for Adventist women who are already carrying out mission among their Muslim women neighbours. Pray that the Holy Spirit may empower them in a special way as they carry out their mission. Pray for all Muslim women who have been contacted by our Adventist women, that the Holy Spirit may soften their hearts that they may accept the gospel. Pray for the Muslim Women Background Believers (MWBBs), that God may strengthen their faith and be witnesses among their family members.

MATTHEW 9:37-38 NKJV

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Day 13: May 6, 2020—Prayer for Indonesia5

1. Pray for the 254 Muslim people groups in Indonesia. Pray that God will raise missionaries in all these groups.

2. Pray for the management of the Urban Centres of Influence in Jakarta. Pray that God may provide enough resources to enable the missionaries to serve as many as would be saved in the whole country of Indonesia

3. Pray for the cancer centre in Jakarta. Pray that God may continue to heal the sick people miraculously for His Glory.

4. Pray for the over 4,000 patients of COVID-19. Pray that God may heal them and that their family members may experience His presence in their lives.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all.

Day 14: May 7, 2020—Prayer for the Muslims in Great Britain6

1. Pray for the 2.8 million Muslims living in the United Kingdom (including Scotland). Pray that the Holy Spirit will enhance the plans of British Union and its Institutions in reaching out to Muslim communities during this pandemic period and post-COVID-19.

2. Pray for those families which have lost their loved ones through the COVID-19. Pray that God may heal their emotional and psychological pain. Pray that the experience they have gone through will help them to have a hunger to search for their salvation through Jesus Christ.

3. Pray for the AMR ministry in South England Conference and North England Conference. Pray that God may strengthen their plans and efforts in reaching out to Muslim communities in their territories. Pray that those Muslims who have accepted Jesus will grow spiritually in His grace.
