Summary & Contact

INTRODUCTIONThese guidelines describe the visual elements that represent

Fairborn City Schools. This includes our name, logo, and other

elements such as color, type, and graphics.

Sending a consistent and controlled message of who we are is

essential to presenting a strong, unified image of our district.

These guidelines reflect our commitment to quality and style.

The Fairborn City Schools brand, including the logo, name,

colors, font type, and other identifying elements are valuable

district assets.

FAIRBORN CITY SCHOOLSEvery staff member of Fairborn City

Schools is responsible for protecting the

district's interests by preventing

unauthorized or incorrect usage of the

Fairborn City Schools brand.

PRIMARY DISTRICT LOGOThe 'Skyhawk' logo is the foundational FCS

logo. If you are designing a social media

page, form/flyer, apparel, or other item,

please use this logo. This logo is the

reference for academics, organizations, and

other school affiliated groups.

The logo features navy lettering as the

bottom half, and sky blue on the top half.

The logo is surrounded by a cloud white

trim to differentiate from the logo's

surroundings.

This logo can be used on its own, and

should never be accompanied by

other texts or references without prior

approval by the District

Communications Director.

The logo represents all interests and

TEXT & FONT TYPE

HEADINGSUBHEADING & PARAGRAPH/INFORMATION

All headings should be Aleo font

type, bold. If Aleo is not available,

use Rockwell BOLD.

All subheadings, information, and other type should be

Montserrat. Subheadings should be bold and ALL CAPS,

while paragraphs and information should not be bold and

allow normal case lettering. If Montserrat is not available,

use Arial.

Traditional Line WorkUse this linework in a reserved way, but there is also opportunity to use these

elements in unexpected and bold ways. They can add emphasis to key phrases and

titles, and serve as quality dividers on pages, flyers, and posters.

The pointed arrow line design is a nod to our aerospace industry and history, mimicking a flight

line, it is a progressive graphic that can draw attention to different aspects of a design. The line

graphic can be rotated in any direction, except backwards. We want to express forward-thinking

ideas and initiatives. It can be rotated vertically (facing up and downward). The size should be

proportional to the overall design of the piece.

*This design graphic should be used in moderation and not as a focus piece of a design.

The vertical line design is a nod to order, composure, and professionalism. This design graphic

can be a focal point of a design and should be used when determining department/school logo

usage. It can serve as a divider, an expansion graphic, and even a key design element.

Traditional Line Work Examples:

The Fairborn Preschool logo is custom to

the preschool, as it is a developmental

phase of the education pathways of our

students. The tree logo utilizes the district's

alternative colors and represents growth

opportunities in the form of a tree. It follows

the traditional branding restrictions for the

district.

Department Branding

Department of Human Resources

Department of Human Resources

The branding for Departments is unique, as it uses the ALEO font and an italicized preposition. This should be used for official department paperwork, email signatures, and other communications.

For any imprinting related to the Fairborn City School District Athletics program, there are two official phrasings that should be used: "Fairborn Skyhawks" OR "Skyhawk Athletics"  The 'Block F' logo is the official logo for the Fairborn City School District Athletics program. This F is easily imprinted on uniforms, signs/banners, and other forms of imprinting media. Additionally, this logo should be used for any Skyhawk Athletics social media accounts (teams specifically.) If a team wants their specific logo to include their individual sport in their logo, contact the FCS District Communications Director.

The logos above include the primary Skyhawk Athletics 'Block F' logo, as well as all secondary logos for Skyhawk Athletics programs including the Skyhawk logo, the basic 'Block F' without white shadowing, and the 'Interlocking FS' logo which is used for Fairborn's Baseball and Softball programs.  For imprinting purposes, these are the only logos available for use.

Beginning in 2019-2020, Fairborn will be an active member of the Miami Valley League for all athletic programs. The above is the official logo of the Conference as of January 2019. For the most updated logo usage on imprinting, please contact the MVL Commissioner and/or the FCS Director of Athletics.
