The inventor Skip Murray is building another empire. Back in 2011, along with Constantine Georges he co-founded Dat Dog, which now has four locations around New Orleans. In 2013, he left to create Dis &
Dem, a burger joint with the same rakish spirit as Dat Dog. The first Dis & Dem, originally called Dis & Dat, opened on Banks Street near the new medical complex.
Now Murray has partnered with Rue St. Louis, a French Quarter bar, to open a second location. "It's an interesting, old New Orleans building," Murray said. "We'll put up German beer lights and the
flags." Dis & Dem at Rue St. Louis will have the same menu of sandwiches, sliders, fries and the hamburgers
coated with a secret, sweet glaze. Eventually Murray will add brunch at the French Quarter Dis & Dem, which has a full bar.
ABOUT DIS&DEM
Scheduling is based on several things, mainly coverage for all departments. Dis & Dem has evolved and has restructured the company as a whole. Dis & Dem is a booming
business and they have been trying to grow their brand in the local restaurant industry for 2 years now. Therefore, it is essential that coverage of all equipment during
certain times is important. Especially during peak hours and rush times when coverage is needed. Due to the location of each restaurant local events such as parades, festivals, concerts, etc are important for scheduling as well. It is important that there is enough
coverage that would accommodate customers without the frustration of customers waiting. Which is one of Dis & Dems’ initiatives to conduct services within a timely
manner.
Scheduling
Murray uses distinct features to choose his locations. The banks st location is strategically placed within distance of the LSU hospitals , the courthouse, and the construction sites nearby. Whereas the St Louis location is placed within 1 minute distance of Bourbon st and the french quarter neighborhood. Unfortunately the St louis location does not allow persons under 21. However the Banks location is family oriented and child friendly.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
❖ Inventory is managed by using the registers and a computed calculated inventory counter. As well as the co-owner Michael Petitto specifically sorts and organizes inventory for Dis&Dem. This includes on-hand merchandise, pending orders, items (damaged or expired, stolen goods), future orders (forecasted based on previous sales during a specific time) and expense items. A food service provider does 2 deliveries a week. A local produce company that works out of the french market delivers produce everyday. Including fresh spring lettuce , fresh romaine tomatoes, green onions, served on a sweet sourdough bun.
FACTS-DIS & DEM caters to a diverse consumer base, welcoming many diverse ethnicities. -Dis & Dem on St. Louis delivers in the quarters. -The workers wear hawaiian shirts offering a comforting and fun environment
CONCLUSION: No Dis & Dem does not plan on going global, they plan on continuing to grow locally and expand throughout New Orleans until further notice finding locations that continuing to cater to the Dis and Dem standard.
