• Coca-Cola history began in 1886 with the curiosity of an Atlanta pharmacist, Dr. John S. Pemberton.

• He created a flavoured syrup, took it to his neighbourhood pharmacy, where it was mixed with carbonated water and deemed “excellent” by those who sampled it.

• Frank M Robinson, suggests the name Coca-Cola, believing that “the two Cs would look well in advertising”. He experiments with writing the company’s name in Spenserian script – a popular writing style back then.

• The drink originated in Nazi Germany under trade embargo for Coca Cola ingredients in 1940. This was done for competing Pepsi-Cola’s Marinda.

• In 1954 Coca Cola Started a campaign saying Drink Coca Cola in Bottles, Featuring Monte Irvin.

• Acquired corporation named Minute Maid Corporation in 1960

• Introduced Sprite on 1st Feb, 1961, for youth.

• Coca Cola Company got Public at $101/Share.

• Hellenic Bottlers started Bottling Coke Products in 2000 and it is listed in NYSE as “Coca Cola Hellenic”

• The first serving of Coca Cola were sold for 5 cents per glass.

• During the first year Atlanta sales were 9 Servings per day, Today their Daily servings are estimated at 1.9bn globally
