BRAND PERSONALITY Brand personality refers to the set of
human characteristics associated with a brand Personality and provides an emotional identity for a brand and encourages consumers to response with feeling and emotions towards the brand.
E.g., Nike as the athlete in all of us, Channel 5 Classy etc.
MICROSOFT VS. APPLE When Apple first came to market Microsoft
and IBM were the corporate giants with a firm and seemingly unshakable grip on the personal computer market.
Apple computers were peculiar looking, expensive, and had a completely different type of user interface.
So, how did Apple go from being a nobody in the shadows of successful traditional PC companies, to becoming an icon of the millennial generation and an integral part of many people’s identity?
MICROSOFT VS. APPLE Apple personified itself in the form of
“Mac,” a character played by Justin Long who was as frumpy, awkward, and not too bright .
“PC” played by John Hodgman. T who was as frumpy, awkward, and not too bright
Not only did consumers know who Mac was, perhaps most importantly they also wanted to be that person .
As so apple able to established themselves as a successful brand
