The leading subjects on dermatology, plastic surgery and aesthetic science

CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE20 YEARS LATER, 20 YEARS YOUNGER

Dear Colleagues,

What started in Paris 20 years ago, as a small group of physicians sharing their ideas on aesthetic science, has evolved into a leading international multi-specialty congress at the interface of plastic surgery and dermatology.

We have gone from strength to strength and around the world, all the while keeping our original French touch.

Expansion

Over the last two decades, IMCAS has been continually expanding and innovating. Ten years ago we introduced our inaugural IMCAS Asia, which took place in Thailand. Since then, we have taken this congress around Asia, with congresses in Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia and Taipei as well as India, China and most recently the Americas.

We travel throughout the globe every year but our home is in Paris. IMCAS Annual World Congress is our landmark event and one of the most important congresses in the aesthetic science calendar. IMCAS 2018 will be a particularly special homecoming, as we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary.

Innovation

Our expansion has not only been geographical; we have also moved into new teaching areas and introduced innovative formats, including debates, clinical case studies, live demonstrations, round table product analysis and full day modules, allowing participants to immerse themselves in one of our up-to-the-minute subjects. This year you can check out our latest additions, Target Courses and Video Classes.

Over the years we have also developped numerous strong partnerships with scientific societies around the world. We are proud to collaborate with more than 50 dermatology, plastic surgery and aesthetic science societies as well as renowned congresses.

Celebration

In 2018, we aim to break all our previous records, with more than 8 000 attendees, 600 expert speakers and 250 exhibiting companies. We have created a rich scientific program delving deep into the hottest topics in the medical aesthetic field, and packed it into 270 learning hours over three days, to

ensure you can make the most of your time in Paris.

In keeping with tradition, we will get the congress off to a flying start with our famous full-day Anatomy on Cadaver Workshop. Simultaneously discovering the anatomy behind each part of the face and body while witnessing the practical application of treatments on patients.

Other highlights will include entire days dedicated to face, body and breast surgery, and the special anniversary sessions, where we trace the history of selected treatments over the last two decades. As an international organization, we are also excited about our Middle East, Eastern European and Chinese Masterclasses, where renown experts will lead the discussion on regional differences, to ensure attendees come away with a deeper knowledge of the trends and markets in these regions.

Of course, with so many sessions to choose from, we are making sure you will never miss any session ever again with our platform IMCAS Academy! IMCAS Academy’s approach of offering aesthetic learning anytime, anywhere has been an instant success and it is now the go-to reference for medical aesthetic information.

We are confident that IMCAS will continue to attract practitioners from all over the world wishing to deepen their knowledge.

As much as we expand, and as many innovations and advances we implement, we are still as young as ever, eager to keep growing and improving.

Join us as we celebrate two decades of excellence in aesthetic science. It’s 20 years later, but together with you, we are certainly 20 years younger.

IMCAS offers its participants Continuing Medical Education credits (CME), which every practitioner requires in order to demonstrate his or her quality, and to bring himself or herself up to date on new medical developments.

IMCAS, being an international event, is commonly accredited at several levels according to the location. In recent years

IMCAS congresses have been consistently accredited in Europe, USA, China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, India, among other locations.

The number of CME credits that IMCAS offers its participants varies according to the duration of the congress and the accreditation organization, given that the requirements differ from one country to another.

Continuing Medical Education and corresponding accreditations are a trademark of quality in educational activities. Thus, bringing educational content of the highest quality is a priority at IMCAS.

IMCAS Annual World Congress 2018 is under process of accreditation/registration by the following institutions:

Anatomical review is crucial when planning aesthetic treatments and ensuring that patients receive the

best outcomes.

We offer you a session dedicated to topographical anatomy for injections where experts will be asked to draw and describe the anatomical variations, possible dangers and how and which tools to use to ensure safe injections.

For a comprehensive full day review, do not miss out on the live Anatomy on Cadaver Workshop, unquestionably one of highlights of every IMCAS Congress.

Broadcast live from the “Fer à Moulin”, Surgery School of Paris, our experts will demonstrate the latest aesthetics techniques on the relevant body parts, while offering

tips and tricks with an anatomical reference to get the best results for your patients.

Each session is composed of a live dissector, a live injector and will end with a comment by an expert and questions from the audience.

The Anatomy on Cadaver Workshop explores a number of important themes, including threads, vulvovaginal rejuvenation, injectables and fat injections.

How to ensure that you apply the best technique for a specific zone? How to avoid dangers zones whilst injecting? This is your chance to review your anatomical references and gain a visual understanding.

T he popularity of all minimally invasive treatments is on the rise, with fillers and botox continually

being among the most sought after treatments. Their short recovery time and strong media presence serves to make them attractive to all different types of patients.

Through the injectable sessions we aim to give you the knowledge and tools to produce the best results for your patients. In particular, sessions will focus on the orbit, temple, perioral and lower regions of the face.

Of course with any procedure, even minimally or non-invasive ones, there are dangers involved. It is important to address these head on; therefore we have dedicated several sessions to avoiding and

dealing with the risks and complications of injectables.

Through the product analysis session we aim to give you an unbiased look at the latest products and devices on the market. This year we are focusing on botulinum toxins and HA seringability.

These sessions present a comparative study, with round-table discussion with manufacturer representatives.

You can also see some of these and other products and devices in action, with a full day of live patient demonstrations. Through these sponsored sessions world leading laboratories will showcase their latest products and demonstrate the best techniques to produce optimal results.

A number of sessions will also cover their use for facial skin tightening, drug delivery, hair removal, and

T hreads and suspending devices are a good alternative for those who are not interested in

surgery, or for those who have already had surgery and just want a little extra lift.

Through the threads and suspending device sessions you can learn how to choose the right thread for the situation, including how anatomy should in uence your decision. lus, learn how to successfully combine them with other treatments to produce superior results for your patients.

We’ll cover the use of threads to not just lift the face, but also the entire body. Experts will share their tried and tested thread techniques for the buttocks, breasts, hips, inner thighs and abdominals.

In addition to the focus sessions you can also attend the product analysis session where experts and manufacturers will discuss the cutting-edge novelties with threads. And through the sponsored live demonstration sessions you can watch the procedures be performed on patients, and see the results for yourself.

I n the search for the most natural and effective results, co bined treatments are becoming more

and more popular. Using more than one treatment often achieves results that a single treatment cannot.

Therefore we are pleased to be able to bring you sessions dedicated to these with a focus on facial rejuvenation. Fillers, injections, lipofilling, liposuction and surgery can all be used in conjunction

to produce the best facial rejuvenation results. Through combined treatments you can tailor your approach to best meet the needs of your individual patients.

You’ll also have the chance to see the

treatments in actions during the patient

demonstration module where experts will

explain how to use cosmeceuticals post-

treat ent and what their benefits are.

Finally, the last hour of the module will

be dedicated to a roundtable discussion of

what we can expect in the cosmeceutical

field over the next five years, with an opportunity for you to ask the experts any

burning questions that you may have.

s the field grows, there has been uch debate about whether these products

are effective and what their place is in cosmetic dermatology and plastic surgery.

Join this module to analyze cosmesceuticals

and their role in the treatment of hair and
