2. Massachusetts Vacant Storefronts Program (MVSP) The purpose of the program is to help municipalities of the Commonwealth in their efforts to revitalize their downtowns and commercial areas. Municipalities may apply to the Economic Assistance Coordinating Council (EACC) for certification to designate a defined downtown or other commercial area, as a Certified Vacant Storefront District. After achieving such a designation, businesses or individuals may apply to the EACC for refundable EDIP tax credits for leasing and occupying a vacant storefront in that district. This subsequent application is to become a Certified Vacant Storefronts Project.

3. SBA Business Plan Help:

A good business plan guides you through each stage of starting and managing your business. You’ll use your business plan as a roadmap for how to structure, run, and grow your new business. It’s a way to think through the key elements of your business.

Business plans can help you get funding or bring on new business partners. Investors want to feel confident they’ll see a return on their investment. Your business plan is the tool you’ll use to convince people that working with you — or investing in your company — is a smart choice.

Get a loan from your community, not from a big bank.

We get it. Cashow can be dicult for small businesses. Whether you’re getting your dream business o the ground or taking your existing

business to the next level, you need money. And the big banks don’t always make things easier.

That’s why we built MainVest. MainVest is a regulation crowdfunding portal that connects you with potential investors in your community:

think Kickstarter, but for small business loans.

MainVest helps you not just raise the funds you need for your business, but simultaneously engage a group of investors who—unlike a bank

—can become loyal customers. Additionally, revenue-based debt nancing incentivizes investors to help your business succeed.

Interested? We know time is the most important resource for an entrepreneur, so let’s hop on the phone for 15 minutes to see if MainVest

can help you raise capital.

Why haven’t I heard of something like this before?

Crowdfunding platforms have existed for a while. But only since recent changes in government regulations can American businesses

be funded by everyday investors who have the potential to share in the businesses’ success through nancial returns.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

1Create an account

Tell us about your new or existing business and why you’re seeking capital.

2Prepare your listing

Decide on the terms of your loan and build out a webpage on MainVest that demonstrates why your business is a good

investment. We’re here to help you with this!

3Raise funds

Once approved, we launch your page on MainVest where you can raise funds from members of your community. These

may be current or potential customers!
