Contents About Me I am a current 2nd year student at Bournemouth University. I am looking for a job during the placement year of my MDes Product Design Course.
During the two years I have been at Bournemouth I have completed a variety of units including Projects and Prototyping units, visualisation tools unit (including CAD softwares and card and foam modelling), materials and mathematical units. As well as doing a short internship at a company called Overview over the summer of 2015. I am a creative yet critical problem solver. I work hard, whether I am in a team or not.
I have a range of skills from SolidWorks CAD package and Adobe Design Programs to Manual Sketching and 3D Prototyping.

Projects
The following pages are a selection of my best and favourite projects and works.
This is just a small selection, as I have current projects as well as other previous projects; however, the entirety of my portfolio can be found on my website, details at the end.
Happy reading.
Open Brief
DiaBand works by using a new, non-invasive sensor, currently in development, to detect the child’s glucose level. When this starts to destabilise the OLED screen becomes more red. At a critical point the band sends
a notification to the connected phone. This allows the child to moniter their own glucose level, giving them a sense of control, but makes sure that they don’t miss their insulin injection times.

Overview’s first office-based webcam, which I designed for them while on a 3-week placement in the summer of 2015. I was asked to design around the camera block and sperical casing they already produced. I designed this to be in-keeping with the curvy style of the company.
Ducati -Based Bottle Project
For this project I was told to choose a brand and then design and prototype a 100ml bottle for that brand. I chose Ducati because they have a strong design identity, such as the bold use of black and red, which has given rise to a wide merchandise range. I created mood boards of Ducati bikes, as well as other prominent motorbike companies including Kawasaki, and created shapes and designs from their features.
F ire Inspired LampThe objective of this project was to design and
prototype a light feature. I decided to design around the elements. I concepted, with a view to producing a complementary set. I focused on their movement and behaviour. I would have liked to 3D CAD model each of these and have them 3D printed; however, my skillset at the time (A-level) would not allow me to do this because of the complicated, twisting ways the elements move. As I could not do a set, I set myself the easier task of designing for one, fire. I wanted to capture the wild, twisting nature of fire, so I decided to freeform mold the flames. I designed a vessel to contain the flames, making the entire ensemble a torch.
Art InstallationMy school held an Art competition every year
and in my final year I was in charge of my boarding house’s entry. We were all told that the piece had to show a connection between the five student years. We brainstormed and I came up with the idea of physically connecting the floors of the house (each of which had a different year on it) using the stairwell at the centre of the house. We chose to use
cling film because of its physical qualities: the way it creates a silvery, semi-transparent structure when layered, resembling a spider’s silk web; and how a single sheet is flimsy and easily broken while many layers of it become very tough. The end result was very successful and actually won the competition. I took a great deal of inspiration from Thomas Heatherwick and his approach to design.
P h o t o g r a p h yI am a keen photographer and love to
play with l ight and capture emotion. These are just some of the pictures that I
took whi ls t on safar i in Kenya.
O t h e r W o r k sThese are just a
few of my other works that I’ve done in my spare time. On the left are a couple of spray paintings that I’ve done. On the right are a charcoal and pastel scene that I did during my AS in Art.
