What is i-Function?

Samsung’s i-Function technology is the first of its unparalleled innovation, which helps the user take the perfect picture while having full control of the pictures at their fingertips by controlling the camera from the lens using the i–Function button.

i-Function 2.0

The i-Function 2.0 was first adapted to four lenses, three of them have already been released and one will be released soon. The upgraded i-Function 2.0 features two additional features. Users can control six different Smart Filters using ‘i-effect’ to get creative with various effects. The ‘i-Zoom’ function from the lens whilst in Lens Priority Mode, lets you easily enjoy a zooming effect during capture even while using single focal lenses.

The i-Function’s lens priority mode has been further upgraded in the NX200 for hassle-free setting selection. In selecting this mode, the camera will suggest the optimal setting for capturing, making it even simpler to take the best possible shots.

i-Function 2.0 Lenses The Samsung i-Function’s Wide Pancake 16mm F2.4, Macro 60mm OIS F2.8, Movie Pro 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 OIS, which were released last August and the Portrait 85mm F1.4 lens, which is scheduled to be released soon are fully compatible with the NX200.

How to use i-Function

When the camera is in P/A/S/M mode, many important capturing functions such as the Shutter Speed, Aperture, EV, ISO, and WB can be selected and adjusted quickly and easily by simply pressing the i-Function button and turning the focus ring on the camera. Certain adjustments can be done in certain modes, so please refer to the following chart for specific details.
