EXMOUTH PLATEAUMULTI-CLIENT 3D SEISMIC LIBRARY

Over the last eighteen months TGS has acquired over 17,000 km2 of 3D seismic over deep water Exmouth Plateau acreage, offshore West Australia.The Exmouth Plateau is located within the Carnarvon Basin and is adjacent to some of the biggest fields along the North West Shelf. Much effort has been spent on exploration on the Exmouth Plateau with discoveries as early as the late 70’/early 80’s. Gas discoveries continue to this day in a range of formations within the Exmouth Sub basin (Cretaceous eg Scarborough; Jurassic eg IO-Jansz & numerous others within the Triassic) with over 30 discoveries within the last five years.

TGS seismic survey projects include 8,839 km2 of the Mary Rose (MR-11) MC3D, 3,532 km2 of the Mary Rose North East Extension (MRNE-11) MC3D survey, 2,588 km2 of the Honeycombs (HC-11) MC3D survey, 2,119 km2 of the Gnaraloo (GN-12) MC3D, and most recently 489 km2 of the Three Bears (TTB-12) MC3D survey. TGS also recently commenced the reprocessing of 4,356 km2 of 3D seismic data for the Cazadores Reprocessing (CAZ-12) project. The MR-11, MRNE-11 and HC-11 MC3D surveys surround the ~8tcf Scarborough gas field and all TGS data is located to the west of the supergiant lo-Jansz field.

TGS data covers soon to be awarded blocks: W12-12, W12-13 and W12-08; as well as proposed blocks W13-07, W13-08, W13-14 and W13-15. Final data is available for MR11.
