Jobs are being lost in Indiana by the thousands! The Indianapolis Recorder reports that Indiana lost nearly 5,800 jobs in October.

Nonfarm payroll employment fell sharply (-533,000) in November. Unemployment rate rose from 6.5 to 6.7 percent.

November's drop in payroll employment followed declines of 403,000 in September and 320,000 in October, as revised.

Job losses were large and widespread across the major industry sectors in November.

Chrysler has said its cash will drop to $2.5 billion by Dec. 31, the minimum needed to meet payroll, pay suppliers and run the company.

GM could run out of cash within weeks without financial aid from Washington.
