CareerCareer is a way of life one lives.

The nature of the work performed by employees has a significant effect on their level of job satisfaction - if the job provides the individual with stimulating

tasks, opportunities for learning and personal growth, and the chance to be responsible and accountable for results;

if the job requires sufficient variety, discretion, challenge and scope for using an individual‟s own skills and abilities.

“People selected undesired careers because of various reasons which included their parent’s expectations, peer pressure, uniformed decision and poor self image” (Gioia, 2010)

My little story - out

A little bit about me…

It has been hard for many reasons, learning English, getting my degree and then fining a job…

I’ve found my first job three months after graduation but I quit after 4 months

From there I did a full career assessment, and found that I was made for marketing. So I decided to take evening classes in digital marketing, while I was working in n customer service (night shift and week-ends). I even worked on New Year Eve & Christmas. And then I landed an internship in a startup (unpaid). It was the price I was ready to pay to attein my career goal. I finannly landde a job as Marketing Analysist after 6 months of Intership. Digital marketing. I have happy today!

Today I am happy I have a job I love!

It has been a long road but thanks to self believe and persistence I kept going.

Why are we here tonight?

I believe the best way to get career success is through your network for advice, tips and sharing of experiences.

During my job search I attending many networking event, because I truly thins that it’s an effective way to fid a job.

Within those events, I always felt intimidated as well as patronised and it was too big and it was difficult to have a warm feeling.

This inspired me to create a community for professional women. This community is around sharing experiences and leaning from one another.

Also in term of event, I wanted to create event for smaller group to make it more interested and warmer.

Being in a smaller group means better exchanges, and better relationships, and easier to follow up.

I am here today, because I want to create a community and see what you think, and what people need.

A career which is in line with your personality can make you adjust to work without any extra effort. Personality assessment can give you a clear picture about what type of job suits you the most. Natural abilities should be considered as well while making any decision related to choosing a career. When you choose the career which is not according to your values, personality and abilities always pull you back in your career life happiness (McGrimmon, 2010).
