How Representation is used…Representation is used to present a group or a individual or even a concept. In this example of Blonde’s ‘I loved you’ we look at how teenagers rebellious nature is implied within as the girls rob shops, beat up cars etc. Even though this is a negative portrayal of the characters it presents a positive side by looking at the friendship of the two girls. Representation in media never fully represents the real world however and makes the shots of the girls fun and games compared to what they’re actually doing.

How we are going to use representation in our music video…We want to represent our artist as young and carefree but we want our audience to understand this is not without vulnerability, again amplifying the message of our song. To do this we want to show shots of our artist having fun which shows youth and suggests naivety. It is important we represent our artist as youthful because our target audience is going to be of a youthful age. Also it will help work with the stimulus of our video and what we intend to show within it.
