What is a SPF in Luxembourg? A SPF in Luxembourg is the acronym for socits de gestion de patrimoine familial.

In English, a SPF stands for private wealth management companies.

The SPF was created by the local authorities under a legislation issued in 2007 on holding companies.

Luxembourg SPF LawThe SPF, created in 2007, was established under the Luxembourg SPF Law, which is comprised of a more attractive regulation framework.

The regulation allows foreign investors to register aninvestment entitywhich will handle the management of the estate of private individuals. It is important to mention that a SPF in Luxembourg is not allowed to perform any commercial activities.
