Our MSC1 course is based upon our acclaimed “Business
Development for Law Firms” and “Financial Management for Law
Firms” as delivered internationally to law firm managers and

The Trainer Malcolm Dowden has extensive experience of
business development and of the design and
delivery of courses, training and seminars on law
firm management.
His practical expertise is in the fields of property,
environment and regulatory work and he retains a
role in private practice as Consultant to a City of
London law firm, Charles Russell LLP.
He is regularly engaged by training and conference
organisations both in the UK and internationally.
He has recently provided training programmes for
commercial law firms, a major infrastructure
company, utilities providers, educational
institutions and local government.
Malcolm’s practical experience also includes
legislative and regulatory drafting. He has published
several works and is a regular contributor to legal
and professional journals

About the Management Course Stage One
Attendance on this course will satisfy the SRA requirement for all solicitors qualified in England and Wales to attend this training prior to the end of their third year after admission and to do so within the jurisdiction.
The course has also been delivered successfully to law firm managers and partners in a number of jurisdictions. We design all our courses in liaison with local firms and practitioners to ensure that the training is locally relevant and of significant practical use.
The day’s training will deliver an essential insight into key business development and management issues relevant to a firm operating in the region.
