CDEC is looking to recruit a Digital Media and Social Editor with responsibility for both digital and traditional media management. CDEC is pursuing a policy of digital first in its communications so the successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience in both mainstream media and digital media. Role:
Some of the main duties will include:
• Editorial responsibility for all copy on the CDEC website and associated social channels (Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, and any new emerging channels)
• Editorial responsibility for content generation including blogs to be produced by the senior management team
• Press relationships and releases relating to CDEC and the digital economy generally
• Engagement with CDEC partners targeted innovation communities and other channels re CDEC Projects
Social Media Monitoring and analysis
The main skills and experience you will be able to demonstrate
• Excellent copywriting abilities
• Excellent communications skills both written and in person
• Experience of producing content for the web and related channels
• Experience of using social media and digital channels and strong understanding of user engagement
• Good networking skills
Strong time management skills, ability to work with multiple deadlines and multi stake-holders
Enthusiasm and ability to deal with ambiguity in a new and fast changing business
