How To Install Silver Vapor 3-in-1 Flooring Underlayment

Make it a DIY Project and save on your floor installation cost

Fact: Laying down underlayment is 10% of your installation cost

You may need: Enough vapor 3-in-1, Flooring, broom & dust pan, tape, scissors/utility knife

Step 1: Get cleaning! Subfloor should be clean and free of dirt.

Step 2: Subfloor check – subfloor should be in good condition without damages

Step 3: Fix Subfloor – subfloor needs fixing if: It is sloping, has excessive gabs, cracks or any areas with moisture.

Step 4: Time to get started – roll out vapor underlayment with the silver side facing down.

Quick hint: Overlapping film should be towards open room & Tape strip next to wall

Step 5: Install Parallel to the wall

Step 6: Cut your measured section with a utility knife

Step 7: You may add tape to temporally hold underlayment in place

Step 8: Install flooring on the underlayment section already installed

Cross stack your flooring – make sure to acclimate your flooring at least 48 hours before the installation

Step 9: Start your new roll – repeat step 4 and start your next roll

Step 10: Measure and Pre-cut next section

Step 11: Combine edges - butt edges together making sure to overlap only the silver film

Step 12: Remove adhesive layer and stick to underlament

Step 13: Use additional tape to secure rows if needed

Step 14: Continue Installation according to manufacturers instructions
