How Content Marketing is Related to SEO Strategy

In this post I'm going give the answer to "How is content marketing related to SEO strategy?" Now, what we have to do, in my opinion is get away from traditional keyword research. Like going to the keyword search tools and places like that but those keywords are just a proxy.

The reason I say that is because, most people use keyword tools for SEO. It's good to get a good page rank but with that strategy, you're optimizing for the search engines, not for people. So, content marketing should be marketing your content to people, not the search engines.

You can see below how fast your information can be on the search engines. But when you get on the search engines by marketing to people, you have people coming back over and over again because you provided some information they wanted. Not a proxy keyword. This will become even more important if you have something to sell. You're targeting a certain kind of person that needs your help but remember, you also should be targeting from your content all the way through to your end solution.

I took this screen shot after somebody was asking this post title question in a forum. Why, because I thought that a post for the keyword, how is content marketing related to SEO strategy, would be great information people are looking for.

We'll wait and see but it should be ok. But you have to look at the big picture. Flood different locations with expert level content as soon as you can.

I didn't get it from a keyword tool. I got the question from somebody that was asking it. If people are asking it, they probably haven't been able to find anything out there that works. Some places they ask are good but others are better (will be different for everybody) so that's where I got this question. But you have to find where your target market hangs out.

This post was on the top spot in two hours but really appeared in about 20 minutes. I just didn't think of taking a screen shot of it at the time. It could have been any one of several pieces of content I had on it, on different mediums and at different locations

This screen shot was taken after a few days, on another topic, just to show you that you can create a ton of content with little effort. You just need to have time to do it and be happy with your work. The amount of time you have to work on your business will determine how fast you get your network set up. But it should never stop. Just had to say that.

Once again, getting SEO with content. And not only that ( I don't say this to brag about myself, I say it to help you understand anybody can do this) there are multiple posts for on the same keywords. In fact, my social media post on this topic is also below these posts. It just doesn't show up in the screenshot.

All created in a little more time than it took to create one post. It's all natural and I never do the same thing to try and trick the search engines. This post is ranking for more but anyway. You can even create more sites and dominate a whole page. I won't get into that here but I talk a lot about becoming an expert - well this helps.

You see, so I really believe that this is, not only for the search engines but for targeted people looking for information on this topic. It's not from a keyword search tool, it answers a question targeted people are looking for and most likely evergreen. It might drop for a while here and there but even with so many people spending a lot of cash and time trying to outrank it, it will probably wind up staying there for longer periods of time.

I don't know if I want to do the other pieces to make the post on my blog rank yet (busy doing some website work) ( You can change things up )but I can put more time into other parts of my business with the time I save at any time. I can easily create more mediums later. You see, you can choose. Heck, you can save hours getting more content on the web and better content on the web if you want to. You can even go back to it later and do some more work on your strategy.

So, when it comes to answering the question, how is content marketing related to SEO strategy, it can be as easy as finding something people are asking in emails, forums social sites or wherever your target market hangs out.

Get some SEO in the process, get a few targeted people that come back because they see you as the expert and build out your internet presence. In time, when you have enough content out there, you can generate more sales because you have the online presence.

It's simple once you get the hang of it. But you can also waste your time if you miss a few steps or try to start all by yourself.

So, find someone to help you find where you’re at and what you want to accomplish.
