INTERNATIONALISATION

Page 3: Forum presentation internationalisation v3 final

Why do we give Internationalisation such priority?

Businesses that trade internationally deliver 60% of UK productivity growth.

We will work to increase the number of these businesses and develop their local supply chains. They will act as the “engine room” for improved business growth and performance across all parts of the economy, and ensure the sustainable growth of our sub-regional economy.

GOAL: Increase the number of businesses that trade internationally by 4,000 in five years
