“Call Me Trimtab”Buckminister Fuller
Architect of Geodesic Domes and Author of Spaceship Earth
A large ship goes by, and then comes the rudder.
On the edge of the rudder is a miniature rudder called a trim-tab. Moving the trim-tab builds low pressure that turns the rudder that steers the gigantic ship with almost no effort.
One individual could be a trim-tab, making a major difference and in today’s FIRST Kuwait Air Transport Conference – this trimtab of the event is the Director General of Civil Aviation Mr Fawaz al Farah. Let us all greet him with an applause !

Alignment is an Orderly Organic Growth - a systems approach to career development in consonant with vision, mission and goals of the organization and managementMisalignment is a painful barrier to career progress. It creates chaos and anarchy with the wrong person at the helm of company hierarchy. A sort of a square peg in a round hole. Only a big L at the top but no scope for the small ‘l’ in the middle and the bottom levels of management. Succession planning and management grooming is the missing ingredient

Rubber Duck Alignment
Games People Play in Organization Development
These ducks are hopeless.
They not only do not know where they are going, but two of them do not know which end is up-- while three just plain don't have their feet on the ground!
Good vs Evil
These ducks are in the "FACE OFF" mode. This is an alignment that will produce heavenly aspirations and increased cravings for "White Castles" in all who are nearby. The colors GREEN and MAUVE are complimentary, as are the fine sounds of bluegrass music.
These ducks are obviously confused.
As a group they are headed in one direction, but there is no order or
linearity at all. Very bad.
The Pool Rack
Ducks in formation always get their way. Often used in military air tactics, this alignment will augment your goals and produce fame and fortune

The Canadian Geese “V” formation – Alignment is crucial
Scientists have found that geese flying in formation can travel around 78% further in a session than geese flying solo. Working together on the task of flying is beneficial in a number of ways:Aerodynamic FormationRotating LeadershipDropping out of the flockPower of the honk

Mentoring for Leadership
Individualized Partnership
Effective mentors understand their individual mentees’ needs and work with everyone differently. What works great for one person can derail another.
Career Coaching Mentors need to help
people get behind the core values that create job satisfaction for them. What do they like to do and why? What would enrich their work each day?

A well-engineered network of professional contacts provides the structural support to
build a logistics career with potential for expansion.
Successful logistics professionals must be able to create an
effective network capable of moving products from one location
to another - be it down the street, across the country, or around the globe - where they can provide greater value or
return.
