yy These nine shots are taken from a film called “Panic Room” The first part of this opening sequence shows a logo(Columbia) used with soft music played over it. The second shot shows the location of a busy city on a fairly cloudy day to represent normality. Over the top of this establishing shot, shows who this film was presented by(Columbia Pictures) in a bold white text, (with soft slow music playing). The next two shot shows who produced/pictured the film over the top of high buildings represented within a city. The fifth shot starts to show the actors played within the film. The next show the film title is shown in the same text over a different part of the city. The next shot gives us the rest of the actors names whilst building up the music giving tension within the scene, with some diegetic sounds used(i,e car horns) The next scene introduces two main characters exchanging dialogue whilst walking through the city with several diegetic sounds to give the sense of a busy location. A fourth character is then introduced(possibly another main character within the film) The overall opening sequence introduces the key locations and four main characters. In my opinion this is a typical opening sequence because of the typical elements shown.
