As the solenoid is switched on, the anchor lifts up and makes the valve-body move to open the valve. When the valve-body reaches its stroke-end, a bounce can occurs. The same negative effect can occurs also in the closing phase of the valve, when the ball comes in contact with the valve-seat The de-coupling of the anchor and the valve-body reduces the risk of bouncing, thus a positive effect on the drivability is obtained.
