How to create a targeted list of companies directly from Company Search

For example...

-Fashion startups

-Fashion startups-That do Online Commerce

-Fashion startups-That do Online Commerce-Located in NYC

Step 1: Keyword Search

Start with company search and enter a relevant keyword

For example: fashion

Select a keyword that is highly tagged

Then add a 2nd keyword that is both broad and relevant

Ecommerce is broad (tagged) and relevant (commerce)

Step 2: Apply Filters

Filter by location (we’re looking for companies in NYC)

Select: New York, NY

This is looking like a more manageable list...

Make sure private is selected (we’re looking for startups)

That were started in the past few years (post-2007)

We’ve narrowed it down to 189 relevant companies

But the results are not yet highly targeted. Why?

OR.

Some ecommerce companies may not be in fashion

Not all fashion companies are related to ecommerce

But companies tagged with ecommerce and fashion

Are all very relevant.

AND.

AND Keyword Search is the quickest way to create a highly targeted list

Step 3: Creating a List

Select companies to add to your list

Name the list

(to add to an existing list just start typing)

The new list is now created
