Why now?

• Wanting to see an end to indigenous poverty• Being prepared to change, and demand change• Helping fellow Australians• Demanding practical action, not just more $$$• The belief that WE must act and not just leave

it to Government

After the Apology, Australians are united as never before, around:

Be part of the generation for change

Why ?

• Because indigenous people are three times more likely to be unemployed...

• And more than eight out of ten jobless indigenous people are unable to work, because of illiteracy, alcohol or other psychological problems.

Be part of the generation for change

Why am I involved?

• I grew up with Aboriginal people• My first boarding school was an Aboriginal hostel• Most of my Aboriginal friends have died – early • They were more talented than me and could have had our lives if

the had our opportunities• The more you know Aboriginal people, the more you love

Aboriginal people
