Background Information On Artist

Born- December 18th 1980 Specialised genre of music- Pop, R ‘n’B, Soul and Dance labels- RCA

Aguilera was born in Staten Island, New York, as a child, Aguilera aspired to be a singer. She was known locally as "the little girl with the big voice", singing in local talent shows and competitions. One of Aguilera's major influences and idol is blues singer Etta James. In 1999 she had her breakthrough hit, "Genie in a Bottle". Since then she's made millions of fans, sold millions of records and has won many awards, including a Grammy for best new female artist. She has even made a Latin album and will be working on a second one.

The artists is seen to fill up the majority of the font CD cover, this is done to show her significance, as she appears to have a sense of authority as her posture and attitudes are of a leader.

The album cover of Christina Aguilera shows her face to be half human half robotic, suggesting a futuristic theme to the album, this is done in order to relate to the album title “Bionic” . Bionic is shown in small font as it not seen as the most important part of the CD.

The separation of her face could suggest that human are just robots underneath their skin as they perform daily procedures like a robot would.

She wears bright red lipstick in order to keep her femininity and show her sexuality through her lips as it’s the brightest on her face, this is used to attract the audience

The cover is seen as a connotation that humans and robot merge through technology as inside her head is shown as a wired up piece of technology.

The two separate sides to her face could also suggest the type of music that the album may portray. It could also show two sides to her as she may feel like a robot in her daily job as an artist, however still remains a humans, showing how easily humans can transform themselves into robot without knowing it.

The colour scheme of the CD cover is quite simple with the complementary colours of black and white and the bright colours in the face in order to attract the audience

The two faces are now seen as separate, showing that humans can choose to turn on and off their character.

The colour scheme remains consistent of black and white

These songs are highlighted in red to show the songs that are exclusive to the CD, this is used to pull in the audience.

The font used is very simple and easy to to read, the list of songs are listed 1-23 and show artists that features on her tracks.

Her name and the title is simply printed down the side of the CD cover in order to notice when read sideways

ALBUM BACK COVER

Christina’s lips are use as the main symbol of the CD image, it shown through out the front and back CD cover, which has now taken up the majority of the CD

Her name and album title are again reinforced on the CD allowing us not to forget it , it also helps the audience as without the CD cover they can differentiate this CD from their others.

The colours are again simple as it only consists of white and red a recurring colour scheme through out the CD cover and now on the CD

Sticks to the simplicity of the CD as it contains the same colour scheme

Image of Christina on the front of CD is shown on the advert too, showing they are related

This shows the count down of the days left until the CD is released which is shown on the advert in the form of digital clock, empathising on the technology and the futuristic theme the album has, it also causes anticipation for the audience

This is written in red and caps locks to catch the audiences attention

Modern font is used to empathies the theme, the dipping letters give the theme a sense of fear as blood is usually known to drip like that
