Preview:

DESCRIPTION

In this talk we will report about a mainstreaming activity of the EC-funded research project iTEC: Based on our experiments with open standards such as IMS LTI Knowledge Markets has successfully set up the market place Eduthek – an electronic market place solution for educational content and tools. Eduthek directly connects with Austria’s leading learning management systems DotLRN and Moodle hereby serving more than 2.000. Based on a new level of interoperability, end-users have the chance to experience a highly integrated solution when connecting to remote content and tools. In the meantime Eduthek has already attracted Austria's leading publishing houses who benefit from a direct, but easy-to-use channel to school learning environments. In this talk we will sketch the architecture of Eduthek and report from our lessons learned in the beta test phase.
