Stem Changing Verbs in the Preterite

• AR stem changers do NOT stem change AT ALL in the preterite

• ER/IR stem changers do all kinds of different things… Some don’t change at all, some only change in the third person, some are totally irregular.

Irregular YO forms of verbs in the preterite:

• Is irregular in the preterite in the THIRD PERSON ONLY
