• Plan to publish a full report in January

Presenter
Presentation Notes
The survey questions are identical to 2013, so they can be directly compared The survey web server was dual-stacked Responses from groups that did not respond last year First year in which we can measure satisfaction of new gTLD registries. Very high.

TextNumber allocations

• 2 AS Number allocations since LACNIC 21o LACNIC qualified for 2 blocks

o 1 block composed of 99 16-bit numbers and remainder in 32-bit numbers

o 297 16-bit AS Numbers remain unallocated

Presenter
Presentation Notes
There have been 3 AS Number allocations in 2014. The RIPE NCC received 2 blocks in February and took only 32-bit numbers. The other allocation in the period since LACNIC 21 was to APNIC, who also only took 99 16-bit AS Numbers

Presenter
Presentation Notes
The next IPv4 allocation has been scheduled for March and will be a /13 (about half a million addresses) People can download the software we use to make the scheduled IPv4 allocations from github.com/icann

TextScheduled IPv4 Allocations

• Allocate IPv4 addresses twice per yearo Allocation happens on a pre-defined

schedule

• Use formula posted onlineo ICANN publishes the formula used to

make selection as open source available for anyone to inspect https://github.com/icann/ipv4-recovery-algorithm

• Communicate resultso After the formula is applied per the

schedule, the results are communicated to the RIRs and operations community, and the IANA registry is updated http://www.iana.org/assignments/ipv4-recovered-address-space/
