The Holy Chapel of El Salvador was created by Andres de Vandelviraand is another Renaissance masterpiece. It is the most famous building in Ubeda and one of the best examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture, also the most ambitious private religious architecture of the Spanish Renaissance.
The building was ordered to be constructed by Francisco de los Cobos, who was the secretary of the Emperor Carlos V, and it was going to be used as a funeral chapel. The construction started in 1536 under the direction of Diego de Siloe. Later Andres de Vandelvira took over in 1540.

Vandelvira in 1562. It was built between
1562 and 1575 by his son Andrew
Vandelvira. It is considered one of the best
works of this architect and one of the
greatest works of Renaissance architecture
Main church of the Town of Ubeda. It is a part of joint World Heritage, it is located in the Plaza Vazquez de Molina, opposite to the Palace of the chains .

the palm trees, roses bushes, playground
for children and the lot of sport equipment
there.
It is a famous palace in Úbeda founded in
the 16th century. In front of this building there are many orange trees.

Ubeda is famous for olive trees planted by
local people.
I was working in Restaurante Antique for 3 weeks. That’s
very nice restaurant in centre of Old Town. I learned
there how to prepare traditional spanish dishes. I enjoyed
my work, because spanish people are really nice and
helpful.
My name is Kasia. I worked in gastrobar „Tinta Fina”. The
atmosphere was nice. The workers were nice to me. They
tried to communicate with me and explain me everything
that I needed. I really liked it. I learned some new things
connected with my profession.

restaurant, because people, who work in the following
restaurant are very nice, helpful and understanding. Inside the
restaurant is very elegant, I really liked it. I learned how to
prepare tapas and traditional food.

Granada”. It’s very nice restaurant in the old town. My co-
workers were very friendly and helpful. I learnt how to make
tapas.

My name is Kasia, I worked in the hotel Alvar Fanez. I liked
my job because people were very nice, friendly and
helpful. I learnt how to clean hotels. I was washing dishes,
making beds, cleaning bathrooms. Atmosphere at my
work was very nice.
My name is Natalia and I am from Poland. I had practice in the
Hotel Fuentenueva in Baeza. During my practice I have learnt
how to clean the rooms, how to work within the team and also
some new Spanish words, . I liked my hotel because I had very
nice teacher and boss and she was very friendly.

and coffee. I liked my job because people were very
funny, friendly and nice.
My name is Agata. I was working in the Oleum Gastrobar. I was
working with nice and helpful people. I like my job, because
everyday I learnt new dishes and I prepared traditional tapas. I
have also learnt how to make steak tartar , marmalade tomato
, salmorejo, risotto, how to cook schrimp, tortillas and all kinds of
croquettes. Atmosphere was good because everyone was
smilling.
My name is Szymon, I was working in the hotel el Postigo as
a receptionist. I really enjoyed my work because people
were really nice and friendly. I learned using hotel
programms, guest service and breakfast service.
My name is Mateusz i was working in Ibiut restaurante. I
have been working there for 3 weeks. I was working with
nice and helpful people and I was preparing salads,
dishes and tapas. I was washing and garnishing dishes.
My name is Piotr, I was working in the Restaurant Zeitum as
a chef assistant. I really enjoyed my stay. I was learning to
prepare many complicated meals and to use cuisine
machines.
My name is Dawid, I was working in the restaurant „Cusco”.I was working as an assistant in the kitchen. People, whowork in the restaurant were very helpful and nice. Myworkplace was awesome. During three weeks I havelearned how to prepare tapas, traditional food and how todecorate the dishes.

Hotel el Postigo. The atmosphere in my workplace was
very nice. Everyone was helpful.
They taught me a lot.

Fuentenueva in Baeza. I was cleaning the rooms: making
beds, wiping dust, filling mini bars, cleaning floors and
bathrooms. I like this hotel because people there are friendly,
helpful and funny.

It was a great experience for me because I learned lots of
new things, for example: how to make a reservation on a
computers program. I worked as a receptionist and
housekeeper. I was making beds, cleaning floors, wiping dust,
filling mini bar and cleaning tables after breakfast. I really liked
this hotel because people there were friendly, helpful, funny
and understanding.
I am Ewelina. I was working in the hotel „Maria de Molina”. I
was booking rooms in the computer program and cleaning
rooms. It is very beautiful hotel. I really liked my job because
people in the hotel were very nice and helpful.
I am Paulina. I was working in the bar „La Puerta de
Granada”. I liked this bar a lot. It is very beautiful and nice
place to work and to visit. People there were helpful. I learnt
how to prepare tapas and garnish dishes. Cooks, who work in
bar „La Puerta de Granada”, are real professionals.
My name is Magda, I was working in Cafe Suizo in Ubeda. I
liked my work because every person there was very nice
and friendly. Environment in Cafe Suizo was always nice. I
learned how to make Italian coffee and to clean the
workplace. I am happy that I could work there.
Before leaving Poland, we participated in the 15- hour Spanish
language course . Upon arrival we continued classes with
Karoline and Paqui . During the lessons we are getting new
knowledge and skills
We took part in different activities in order to improve our
knowledge and skills obtained during the classes. In the last
class we had the task to find 10 buildings in Ubeda asking
people for directions in Spanish
On 16th July 2015 we went to Restaurante Zeitum, where
we had Tapas night. Tapas are small snacks, which
guests get as a dish in addition to the drink.
First of all, waiter asked us about what we wanted to
drink. Some of us chose beer or red wine with
lemonade(tinto de verano), or juice. As a first Tapaz we
got salmorejo - it’s cold tomato soup made of fresh
tomatoes, bread, olive oil, vinegar and garlic, served with
hard-boiled egg and serrano.
Our next Tapas were mini-burgers. As drinks we got cold
nestea, cola and juice
