April 13/14, 2019 Holy Week
Palm Sunday: The Passion of Christ In Light of the Holy
Shroud of Turin The Holy Shroud of Turin was called the
greatest relic in Christendom by Pope St. John Paul II. In fact,
the Shroud is the most studied scientific object in the entire
world. Fr. Peffley presents new, detailed scientific and medical
evidence for the authenticity of the Holy Shroud. This presenta-
tion brings greater clarity to the depth of the agony of our Lord's
sorrowful Passion, which he voluntarily took on for love of us.
Find this in the LISTEN section.
Monday-Wednesday: Holy Week in Rome See how Holy Week
is commemorated in Rome. Hear from theologians, professors,
art historians, and Vatican officials about Jesus’ last days on
earth and how those moments have been relived throughout the
centuries in Church ceremony and art. From the washing of the
feet to the walk to Calvary, Pope Benedict XVI takes us step-by-
step through these symbolic events as played out in the Eternal
City. Find this video in WATCH- Rome Reports.
Holy Thursday: LISTEN to The Fourth Cup by Dr. Scott Hahn
or Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist by Dr. Brant
Pitre. Both audios will give you great insight into the wonderful
gift of Jesus’ body, blood, soul and divinity to us in the Eucha-
rist.
Good Friday: LISTEN to Three Days that Changed the World
by Fr. Hector Perez or Glimpses Along the Way of the Cross
by Msgr. James Shea. Both audios will help you enter more
deeply into the three-day liturgy known as the Triduum.
Holy Saturday: WATCH Convinced Why would intelligent,
successful people give up careers, alienate friends, and cause
havoc in their families...to become Catholic? As he was consid-
ering his own move into the Church, Donald Johnson traveled
around the country to get the story for himself, from some of
today's most interesting and articulate Catholic voices.
